  1. I have both a Mistral on one bike and Stucchi on the other. The Mistral is certainly better made. Heck, the Stucchi doesn't even line up the muffers right. One points up higher than the other if ther pipes aren't on the subframe bracket.
  2. Did the number plates go that high, or did Guzzi merely make double number plates like Ducati did with their limited edition Sport Classics. I remember showing up at a ride in Connecticutt where 2 guys showed up with the same limited edition numbered bike. You remember the 1000 Sports that came in the black and gold?

Don't V11s already have high compression piston? A bore out to maybe 1290 would be really nice.. Port and polished heads help, but it isn't life changing. Valves and springs help. Without cracking open the motor, airbox mod, full exhaust, fueling... 85ish rwhp.. + or - a hp...(more like minus)And that is friggin good... I chatted with Todd about doing this despite not having the disposable income at the time. A 1084 bored out and on its best day I think he said low to mid 90s.Kinda not worth to get that little extra and risk reliability issues. I'm happy with my mid 80s on both my Lemans and Scura..Oh, the lighter flywheel? Not a whole lot of help. The motor just revs quicker..And to be honest, the heaver flywheel makes these bikes sound and feel a little better, but that's me. My Scura, thought I love it, the single plate clutch can be a little too snappy. I've broken traction traction in the ass end entering corners more than I'd like to..How I don't have a skidmark on my seat from almost crapping myself is an enigma.. That little bit of slip in the Lemans is kinda nice..

The feeling is actually a bit significant to stock. They say these bikes did 80ish out the factory. BHP, maybe. I'm getting that at the wheel. Maybe 10-12hp over stock. But also how that extra 10-12hp is delivered. They just pull much harder and smoother than stock. Anyone who tells you you'll get 20-25hp with an exhaust and a tune is lying or just embelishing. An Aprilia RSV-4? Yes, you'll get 20hp with an ecu tune and exhaust system. These aren't Aprilia RSV-4s. 80rwhp bone stock seems a little high. Maybe I should have mine done again because my setup pulls WAY harder than a stock V11..

I had it dynoed after I had my LeMans done in 2016 or 2017, but don't know where it is. It was on a PDF. If I can find it, I'll post it. With a Mistral crossover, silencers and an open airbox with a K&N, It was between 8-11hp at the wheel over stock. Teetered in the mid 80's rwhp I But I guess that about as much as you can get without cracking open the engine. But it feels more due to the throttle responsiveness.
  6. Something about that friggin purple with grey with the V11 that is sexy..
  7. You're correct. Just ran out to see what was on my LeMans.. Bitubo..Cerebral flatulence.. I find the Bitubo to be better than the Öhlins on my Scura.
  8. Depends what you want to spend. Bitubo makes a great dampener. But you can also take your dusty Marzocchi or Öhlins dampener and have it rebuilt. I have both. I kinda prefer the Marzocchi.
  9. Have you looked at the ad section here?
  10. Not exactly the response I'd expect from a bunch of V11 guys..
  11. I guess that makes mine a bit of a bargain? But hey, if your wanna give me $7k instead of 5, I'll take it.. I'd rather be happy and sell a Guzzista a good bike instead of making a fast buck and worry about a squid destroying it. Scud knows my style. Just another passionate Guzzi guy like you guys.
  12. Some sunset shots to show off the candy..
  13. Managed to make this. Forgot about the seat.. A Tenni seat. Black is available.
  14. Not leaving the forum. I also have a Scura. I am seeing if anyone has interests in a 2002 LeMans red and grey. Full Mistral exhaust, ECU tuned by Guzzitech. Suspension redone by Racetech set up for a 250lbs suited up rider. Or was it 230?? A full sized dad bod will do just fine on it...... Some rare bits of carbon fiber. Ghezzi-Brian rear fender, Rosso Mandello front fender and alt cover, and a Scura tank pad. Just under 22k miles. Bike needs nothing. Not even fluids. The bike is located in Tucson, AZ. Looking to get around $5000 for it. But if I sell it, I want a Guzzi lover to get it. I'll post pics later, but I need to shrink them a bit since the forum won't permit hi-res. It's pretty friggin sexy to be honest..The only reason I'm wanting to sell is to buy a custom Moto Guzzi GTM.

    ECU talk

An ECU tune..... Hard to do in the states...Not to get political, but some of the first executive orders in 2021 was an order ending any type of tuning due to EPA emissions. If you know a guy that'll tune your stuff, go have at it. Just don't post about it. The EPA will prolly arrest the dude and fine him. I found this out when I was working with Guhl Engineering for my Hondas. They did my CB1100 in 2020. The thing runs almost like a liter sport bike without the governor, restrictions, cat, and the tune. But when I went to take my Valkyrie tune to them (sorry if it's not Guzzi related), they told me they couldn't tune it due to restrictions. UNless I showed proof the bike would not be used on public roads. Yep, like that. But I guess using piggybacks (Power Commanders, Bazzaz, ect) is okay. For whatever that means. Don't bother trying to make sense of it. It doesn't. But there may be some ECU tuning kits available prior to the Executive order.. I know GuzziTech had one... Check e-bay. Or maybe he could have found a legal loophole to tune.. You'd have to call. You're taking a a bit of risk with using free downloads to your ECU.. Especially with a newer bike. Piaggio would certainly not cover you. They barely cover the normal stuff.
  16. I bought one like this. They won't fit the 02s and 03s. I was pretty bummed. But anyone with an 01 and prior certainly hs a score here.
  17. Looking like you need to give her a good lookover and some maintenance. 20 year old bike... But by the look of that air filter, she's had a neglected life. I doubt it'll take much to get her up to snuff.
  18. Not to crazy about the new logo, but at least they're putting a logo on them. When I ordered, it was a decal. One thing I do see is that brushed finish is pretty. Mine were bead blasted.
  19. When it comes to alternate tire sizes, there's some leeway with the rear. Better handling, go 170. I guess you can go 160? I know 170 works really well. 200 is the max. I tried it. I didn't like it. You'd thin more of a contact patch would be better, but too much sidewall can get a little wabbly when pushing it. At least it did for me. As for the front, I wouldn't really deviate. You're certainly gonna feel it. I would think less sidewall would be better. As for Kenda.. Why? If it's budget, check out the Dunlop GPR300. I slapped them on my Scura because I had to register 4 motorcycles at the same time, so it was budget... And they're pretty friggin good. I've heard people getting 5-6k out of them, which isn't that bad. Not great, but not bad. And they don't get squirrelly. Even on hot desert asphalt. https://www.cyclegear.com/tires/dunlop-sportmax-gpr300-tires?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw3NyxBhBmEiwAyofDYXXG43QbbctgWl8zWOF9B2R5dT6091ZXcm7It6JaEIW3GGBMQMxenxoCOxMQAvD_BwE
  20. Beautiful. That thing took a lot of $$$$$ and time to build. And the time sourcing the parts??? I wish...
  21. They were pretty pricy. I know the models like the Scura, Rosso Mandello and the Tenni ranged from $13,500 to $15,000. In 02.. The standards were around $10k. Pricy for the early 2000s when a Yamaha R1 at the time was around $9-$10k. I remember wanting a Tenni in my 20s. Found a used one in a shop in Jersey.....In 06....For $12k. Only waited 10 more years to find a Scura..lol https://www.cycleworld.com/moto-guzzi-v11-cafe-style-review-best-used-motorcycle/
