Using a 2003 tank on a prior model. It is my understanding you can't. Or can you?

Didn't the 03 tanks have an internal fuel pump?

I got mine like 2 weeks ago. Carbon without kevlar. It's decent. I just need to get around to installing it. On the Scura you have all the brackets for the horns and rectifier just clustered there. The Lemans would take 30 seconds. I might order another. 8 week turn around though.

I need 2 sets. The ones I got aren't holding up to the AZ heat.

A little bit of ECU trickery? A remap is probably the better bet but for $124 bucks it's worth a try.

You got lucky. 😅 That bar end spins like a bizzo. I have CRG bar ends that I bolted on and they just spun from the rubber mounting to help with vibration. I've used teflon tape, silicone, epoxy, etc. I finally did a washer and some silicone which worded but not the cleanest way. I saw yours and hoped you had the answer..

What did you use to prevent the bar end from spinning?

They look prestine! You have me thinking about getting the Guzzi valve covers..

It'll pop up. The Guzzi world is small. The V11 world even smaller. Let them dare put parts on craigslist or ebay.. A plus about owning a rare bike.

Guzzitech has cool V11 pipes. He also can make you custom megaphones that might fit your bill. Another option is the Mivvs. Those are pretty damn loud too. Just depends if they are visually appealing to you. I have aluminum Mistrals on my Lemans that sound awesome. But to be honest it's quite easy to make a V11 sound mean. Just about any pipe with a crossover will do it. But if you have a Quad D? Kinda hard to beat.

They look like a Mistral but they use a different weave I think. Could be Agostinis.

I remember the first time I saw a Tenni on the showroom. I was in love. Then I saw it was $15k and said I can't afford it. Especially in my 20s starting out. I drooled like you did. Behold 10 years later in 13 I bought my Lemans. Took years to sort out all the prior owner rigging and neglect but not the thing is faster than when new and probably more reliable. Guzzi ownership I discovered is like marriage to a chick with mental issues.. They can give you hell but once you get them going right and give them love you can ride em as hard as you want and become keepers.. (hopefully that isn't considered innapropriate..😉)

The Coppas always sold at a premium on the second hand market. Not $15k though. More like 9 or 10. $7k for a real Coppa is a good deal. Especially that one.

Imagine if Prince rode a CX100 Lemans.. Purple Rain would of been even more epic.

They're out there but you have to REALLY look. I found the one for my Lemans from a guy in Australia selling a Scura tank on E-Bay. I sent him an email asking if he just wanted to sell the pad and he agreed. I think I paid $152 shipped. Thankfully the exchange rate was in my favor. But they're out there..

I had the same isdue with my Scura. It actually fell out. Then on my Lemans is about to come out. Vibrations are a bizzo. I had Guzzitech put in one of his LEDs. I think it took a small drill tap into the back of the housing for the board and cooler fan. Works amazing. LEDs work great in these. That housing is pretty tight but it's doable without melting anything. Im currently running all LEDs in my Scura.

Im curious if there's a practical way to fit maybe a new V7 tank. It's an idea. I wonder if there's a way to get around the internal fuel pump? I've never popped off a newer v7 tank. Similar to an 850 tank in looks and Im sure far more plentiful.

True story. Had the pic but it was 2009 of the same number triple clamps and the riders laughing about it. Remember the Duc Sportclassic black and gold babies? Pretty bikes.
