I FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY got my Scura to Guzzitech for its ecu reflash after 2 years . Regardless it got there . Getting some other little things for her too. Next big thing is replacing the subframe. Has a slight tweak in it from the past owner when he had his getoff. Can't wait to get her back. There will be a pc3 for sale soon set up for a v11 by the way... And pretty cheap.

Wow, a lot of dogs out there!!!!! All this shows is I might get more for keeping mine pretty close to stock!!! I might sell one of my v11s . I was riding them one day and though they ride different they kind of click the same boxes. Maybe sell one and get a Stelvio or Quota to get some dirt in the garage.... if you're in Southern California keep an eye out.. Might be the Lemans but that's the most sorted out but the Scura is a bit of a unicorn.... Sheesh the struggle is real....

I remember someone comparing it to a hot woman in a bright red dress . . . Yep, a hot Italian chick with some junk in the trunk....
-
Man, Scud you turned that bike around !! Then traded it?!! I remember when you got it . Whoever got has it now has a properly sorted Goose.
-
You know what would be nice? A V85 LeMans .... Just sayin,

Many LED jobs are shallow enough to fit the v11 light bucket. Way better than hallogen but depends on the style you want.. Found this on Wildguzzi... https://goo.gl/images/DLm28K

Id pass on that. And Stucchi wasn't the best. They were prone to cracking . Im pretty sure my Scura has a Stucchi that was repaired by the prior owner.

More SoCal talk! We've seen what the girls wear to stay warm there, too. Like rear fenders on a V11, doesn't seem to take much . . . You say that as if it never rains or snows in California... I just vouch they work...
-
Surprisingly those little carbon fenders work. Keeps the rear shock pretty clean. Minimalist yet functional. I have them on both my V11s.

Another good option is contacting Speedhut . These guys sell tachs and gps speedos. They make the dials look pretty close to the Veglia. I agree that finding another Veglia can be a pain.
-
Go to Ghezzi-Brian. He has the short ones. I have them on my V11s. Good stuff and weren't crazy expensive. There is a guy in Australia still making the large ones for around 300. I forget the name of him off the top of my head but if you google Moto Guzzi v11 carbon fiber he will pop up.

Anyone seen or tried these? Andreani Fork Cartridge Kit

Do you remember what Racetach charges for this? Certainly another good option, going to send off my silver forks to use on my black frame. Won't look as good as gold but better than the black forks imo. -
Got to stretch her legs out today after not getting to ride her in about a month.. Guzzis don't like to sit and she let me know that.Snatchy and coughy the first few miles but all's forgiven now..
-
Yep, same color. Off a Scura. I went all amber . PM me to remind me to look for them.
-
I just spent the day in Death Valley with my CTX ( sorry, one of the Guzzis would of rattled me to death) and all I could think was I wish I had an ADV... I think a KLR with a safari tank is in my future.. I know it ain't the best but it'll do the job..
-
$7500 buy it now? Guess my Scura is gaining value!!! "RAM" single plate clutch? Lol That kinda worries me.
-
MG Cycles has them. No worries. Worst case pm me . I think I might have some old ones... I'll look for them in the morning if you're interested. Just pay shipping.

I would suggest if you get another is to take off your forks and shock and ship them off to Racetech for a full overhaul.. That's what I did with my Lemans . It's just as good as the Ohlins in my opinion . I also have a Scura. Plus the bike won't sit as high. My Scura is like 1"-2" taller than my Lemans side by side. -
A pic of my carbon fiber scrapper being shunned by Native....

Unless youre looking to totally stock out a Scura don't bother. They rarely pop up and they go for just a tad more than an OEM. Best carbon pipes for a v11 are Mistral. I thought it was M3 but I got those and the Mistrals on my other V11 sound better.. If anyone wants to trade up their Carbon Mistrals for a set of Carbon M3s hit me up..;-] -
I see this and the first that comes to mind is : "When is this guy gonna list the spare parts on ebay?"

I was reading the comparisons of the V11 to a Thruxon... I caught myself laughing... A Thruxton "having the beans" to run to a V11? Ive owned 3 Bonnie variants. 2 Thruxtons.. I also have 2 V11s so I can I think I can be pretty insightful and smug about commenting.. A stock aircooled thruxton to a stock v11? The V11. A Thruxton with no airbox, jetted right and pipes and upgraded sprockets to a V11 with a map and pipes? Pretty f-ing toe to toe. Why? Power to weight. My old Thruxton I can honestly say I have gone neck and neck with V11s. Shit, I used to outhandle Ducati Sportclassics ( those bikes were pretty but total hype) . I wish I could find the old gopro vids.. I can honestly say a Thruxton CAN be comparable in a lot of ways to a V11. Except in torque . And proper noise. V11 trumps it. My V11s somedays feel like pigs in the mountains but muscling them into corners for me at least is the fun of it. I do find the v11 also more reliable. Shockingly. When I rode cross country to Lexington OH for Vintage Motorcycle Days my Triumph arrived on a flat bed with a charging issue. Im totally confident I can hop on my 16 year old Lemans and do 1000 miles problem free. Some days I miss my Bonnies. Some days. But the v11 Sports tend to check the same boxes and a few more. I'll never smashmouth a Thruxton . They can be quick. The thing is with the money you'd drop into it to make it quick you can do a v11 Sport and spend less. In fact .... Talking money.. The money to buy my Thruxton and mod it to be a tad faster than say a V11? I spent the same amount on buying a V11 Lemans AND a V11 Scura.. Just sayin...lol
