  1. I hope that cured your problem. The latest problem could still be air in the hydraulic line. Using the bike may have "burped" an air bubble up, letting the system work. If you have a recurrence, air could be the culprit.
  2. it's weird they didn't slip on easily. you had Ti mid pipes on already, yes? (btw if you want to sell those.. ) I must say I'm surprised how loud they weren't.
  3. there are some threads here, ( or several mentions) of the rear wheel inner spacer being too short, causing early bearing wear. Mine were shot @ 15000 mi. on Red LM. I didn't check the Tenni @ 11000 mi. but figure on replacement with new tire. Good job finding and replacing those. BMW certainly produces a better built motorcycle. Riding mine never made me want to chase younger women like the Goose does. I can't say I ever walked out to the garage with a beer just to look at it either. The Guzzi has a better 'intangible' return on investment.

  5. now that's impressive ingenuity. I don't like it at all, but clever idea. those were clubman bars for a cafe' racer, but you could use any bar I reckon. I'm with ya on the tucked position, but that's why I liked those Rapid dogs, and I hope, the mph. Up just a little, a bit wider, and rearward whatever you want. It reduces neck pain for me on long rides.
  6. here's a reason why anyone would use mph, which do offer some adjustment, and require no grinding. They allow the use of the stock clip-on bar, which uses the most unique internal anti vibration design I've seen in a bar. The convertibar range of adjustment is greater, but it allows far more than I would want to use. True, none of the setups are great looking, including convertibar imo. The mph seemed the least deviation from stock configuration to me. I wish someone would make Rapid Dog Risers for Guzzi. Had some on my BMW R1100s and they worked great, And looked great.

  8. Headlamp reflector for driving on the right side of the road . . . Ahhhhhh, yes. and I should have added the color being in the '02 lineup...was for the US market. I love that color
  9. sweet... and welcome! AND at the ACE! that color is in the '02 line up. has the black on the engine case bubbled up? has the metal reflector inside the headlight come off? they cover the center bulb and reflect back. it's odd that the low beam would annoy anyone.

  12. Scud. The alien junk yard. I was thinking how someone took the time to build that lovely spacecraft behind you, and then the Saucer repair van with a dish network?... and is that a boat? Then the Pink Floyd bumper sticker. I think there is a pattern here.

I think this is akin to something spiritual we get from the motorcycle experience. I've made note of it on my few trips riding out west. It's not just the long, straight and flat, it's the surroundings that make it complete. It "pulls" on you. Something about Zen maybe. There are very few places in Indiana I can get that. Several spots south, in Docc's neighborhood, come to mind. Eastern Tennessee/North Carolina. The Cherohala, the Blue Ridge, rare places around the Parkway where you can actually go fast for a distance. That feeling comes over me and I imagine a chipmunk crossing the road in a sweeper... with a 300' drop off. The door to Zen slams shut. But, at least I know where it is. I guess I'm more of a "when" than a "where" attention wise Scud. "Where" is probably safer. It should be obvious I talk inside, and outside, the helmet.

    thanks guys. I downloaded Benders but won't be printing it out. My ink+I'm cheap. It is surprisingly basic. But thank you both. It will help a lot.
  15. I've read several comments in the past referring to the Stucci as an unfriendly install. Probably why the guy sold it on ebay. (he said it was too loud lol, but didn't look used) But, I have made it work and it's built of a heavier gauge pipe with reinforced outlet ends, and has a hanger bracket. The FBF fit perfectly. If we could get the 2 Mfg's together on building one, it would be nice. The Stucci is also a bit too close together at the inlet ends. I ended up with about a 1/8" clearance at the motor case on the right side and less than 1/16th on the left. I hope it doesn't start to rattle.

  17. The system is on, sans ecu. 100% of the problem was the Stucci xover. It is not built properly. Up against the stocker and the FBF it was obvious. The left side of it was welded on about 10mm to the rear of the right side, causing the left can to stick out further from the hanger mount point, and farther rearward, and throw out the center frame hanger alignment. I cut 10mm off the left rear to even it out. That, and some shifting on the head pipes, got me within 5/8" of the left can hanger strap being perfect. Since the symmetry was now acceptable, I used a 5/8" spacer at the back of the strap, and all is looking good. I mean looking reeeeeally good. And the sound is glorious. The bike has a pc3 and was tuned for FBF xover and oem cans. I'm going to ride some before ecu swap. Soak in some of that sweet noise.
  18. I have finally gotten around to mounting my Ti kit. I did switch xovers from the FBF to the Stucci so I could utilize the hanger bracket. The Stucci is a pita. Built heavy and very sturdy compared to the FBF, BUT.. it's as if the jig they built it on was crooked. Also, the o.d. of the re-enforced exit end was too big. About 1mm. Dosen't seem like much but none of my mufflers would slide on it. I spent an hour on each one grinding and polishing till they would accept a pipe. The cans don't seem to hang quite right and I haven't tightened everything yet. Now a brief hang-up, so to speak. The included "instructions" for the Ti kit don't show the order in which the washers go onto the hanging strap. This is important because they did include a warning that (as MartyNZ stated) said strap must be installed with correct alignment, so as to not f-up the can skin. So... anyone know the proper/intended order? There are 3 flat washers supplied per side. One goes on either side of the rubber grommet. Then what.. the strap, another washer and a bolt? Maybe the washer goes inside the strap. Simple enough, but I want to get it right. I did not get the little "Ti Kit" sticker for the ecu, so I'm not confident they gave me the correct amount of washers. I have left over bolts as well.?? P.S. I have the upgraded hanger straps from MartyNZ waiting to go on. I want to get everything snugged up and working as it should with no problems with any bind in the system before using them.

  21. when I bought the Tenni new. The first oil change was done at the dealer. They over filled it and it blew oil out. It's been so long I cant remember where it came out. If you just had it serviced, I would follow that up. Shouldn't be any oil in there, and I'm not sure why the plug would come out, unless it wasn't put in correctly.

  24. with all the conditioning involved with the Odyssey, I was considering a Shorai LI replacement. I have them in other bikes and love them, but they are fairly new to me, so no long term reports. Super light, higher cca, longer storage, (mo$$) I will follow this thread with interest.
