  1. Mine have been on long enough I don't recall details but I can see marks where I bent them so they mount level. They are off at the moment awaiting batteries or I'd post a pic. They hover flat about 1/4" above the dash.
  2. I attached mine to the bolts just below the gauges. I think I had to bend the little brackets some
  3. that's how I would describe my observation. +1 on doccs tire pressure comment tho I run my rear at 38. When the front starts to show wear the bike seems heavier in turns so I tend to swap them early.
  4. comparing my 2 the early bars are about 1 inch higher and 1/2" further forward than the later ones. The fork bodies on the later bikes are about 1" longer to accommodate the bar clamp mounted above the tree.
  5. AFAIK the one and only plate fits V11, 1100 Sport, Daytona and Centauro
  6. on the later LM mirrors there is a bolt under the rubber to adjust the forward/backward tension but no way to adjust the ball. If I had a non usable one I'd have a go at popping off the reflective (and breaking it no doubt) to have a look see if it's repairable. I'd call MGCycle and ask since it's new and possibly just a bad part. You're likely not the first one with that question.
  7. a bit less than 1000., maybe
  8. Now there is the rub. Technology is only a piece of the puzzle. One thing is sacrificed for another, and it changes every year.
  9. No. As it is it's junk. In the best of shape it's mediocre. If you have the vintage-bike-resto-itch, I get it. There are better choices for that.
  10. Have you replaced any on yours docc? and I'm curious if the MGCycles replacement part is oem or aftermarket.
  11. If the breather hose is original, consider replacing it. I don't know what they made those things of but don't trust an old one. They don't hold up to oil and heat. My '02 was shot by 2012 and my '00 needs replacing now.
  12. 1973 Kawasaki Z1 900 had one 'of sorts'
  13. We've got a thread on this problem here back a year or so. Yes they do fill with crud over time. Was it member antmanbee that flushed his frame with kerosene ?
  14. If there was an easy way to pull up all the numerous threads from the last dozen or so years concerning air box vs pods, you would find consensus that pods are more trouble than they are worth. The stock box is engineered for optimal functionality. If the bike pulls hard it's likely not the fuel pump. If the bike came to me like that I would put it back stock and establish a base line of oem tune specs. Did you flush the gas tank? That be my #1 job for a newly acquired vintage bike.
  15. I use Mozilla Firefox with no problems (although I can't see your posted pics), what's your browser?
  16. two red frames! GuzziMAX
  17. I do not see them.
  18. Great looking bike Bob and well equipped, and a good deal.
  19. Our dogs have been on a raw diet for about four years. My Pet Carnivore has a ground beef and tripe mix they all love. Supplement with mineral and enzyme powders and a little bit of a good canned food to round it out. Dried goat ears are a favorite treat. Also deer antler but they are pricey. Thankfully I found a nice rack this spring while mushrooming.
  20. That angle of the cans is perfect. The oval has a slight cant but the line flows and it works! Nice job with the hangers. Looks great
  21. You mean '01 ? That's interesting. I'll pay closer attention next time I see one. (this coming ssr maybe?)
  22. That said docc, getting one with the crap paint and having it redone would be in line with Guzzi's warranted repair, so cases repainted/powdered would still constitute oem. Fixing a recall doesn't void originality. The key would be to determine what finish was on the replacement cases. Replacement cases were what was offered at the time. I only assume they were the later satin finish. Now there would be some detective work...
