Fritz Egli built racing frames for several makes of Motorcycle. Famously so in the 70's, I think he still makes some.

don't know yet about a sale but, I don't want anything to do with "app controlled features" on my motorcycle, especially the brakes. God when will it end.

Dave it's a movie series on Amazon prime now called the Himalayas Calling. Like long way round but shorter and cheaper. They supposedly were alone with no chase vehicles. Link in 'Adventure bikes'

Speaking of aerial view, the video link I posted in Adv Bikes shows some intriguing drone shots of 2 riders with no assistance, riding in some great scenery. Can a drone be programmed to follow the operator?

Now I know where all the Nortons are. Egli are best with Vincent imo. Etched in my mind for decades... Hands down the best looking motorcycle ever. A local gent imported this one this past summer. $$$$$. Thanks again for posting motoporn. Inspirational. Makes me think of getting another ..

I wouldn't know anything Guzzi specific one wouldn't look at on any 20 year old bike. My "list" starts with my perception, judgement if you will, of the owner. If the owner is suspect, so be the bike. After that I'd guess the first thing I try to do is match the mileage with visible wear points. Brake discs, gas tank, seat, and foot rest rub areas. The place on the top tree where the keyfob hits in the wind. One of my peeves is bugs and bug spots that were clearly not seen to in a timely fashion. The owner that let's the surface go, I figure let's below the surface go as well. If anything Guzzi specific comes to mind I guess I'd say electrics. Be sure all works as it should with no funny stuff going on. A few years ago I was so ready to jump on a pristine 2001 and ready to drive a great distance to get it. At the last minute the seller revealed a mysterious wiring job done by the po. I had to pass on it. Everything said, it depends on your knowledge and comfort level with repairs. And THAT said, this forum and learned members have done a great deal to sort out or help others sort their bikes in the past. Will you see it in person or at a distance? Got any photos or details?

pretty sure that's a repro of a Benelli Mojave tank. Isn't an early 1100 Sport tank steel? Seems like that would fit the later spine... kinda, sorta.

that would be positioned to the rear at about "8 o'clock" but the mount bolt will secure it in any position you're tank's needs work best. My tank was a bit loose in the correct position so I rotated it a bit and it tightened up. ****PS Recall Docc's advice for red frame bikes ... You may encounter a situation where the forks strike the tank on full lock. See how much room you have before cutting these.

update. Had my tank off, totally empty, for 4 weeks. I put it on a home made rack to simulate a frame mount while it rested and I did my tank-off stuff. It didn't tighten up on the rack to my surprise so I figured that wasn't much help, or maybe it was. Upon installing (you all know the drill) it was SO close to fitting... but the bolt would just not start. After 10 min of prying, fumbling and cursing, it hit me... cut back the front mount rubbers. Solved. I actually cut more than needed but I can rotate the 'lobe' to adjust the distance. disclosure: can't recall but I may have had this idea sparked by another thread

OMG, I'm such a neanderthal.. I used a 24" 2x8, laid on the bead (on the ground supported) and drove my truck tire up on it. it so worked.
