Enter Vin here. Should give year, color, and verify Tenni. http://static.piaggio.com/recall/form-piaggio_en.html Otherwise l agree with Steve S. You'll want to get all info on previous work done, and sort out the clutch at some point. As I've said before, it's not guaranteed to break but it's a known weak point that will always be a threat. welcome!

Stock cans on these actually don't sound that bad, but they look huge and weigh a ton! And once you've heard it with a non restrictive crossover and straight through cans, you wouldn't have it any other way. In the end there are options that are reasonably priced and given some research, might even be inexpensive. Don't let it stand in the way of getting the bike. Sort the pipes later. Welcome!

welcome. the filter coming loose is a known issue and with attention can be resolved. it very well may have been the demise of the bearings.

the World of Speed closing and why, makes me very sad. Wish I could say more.

my setup came on the bike and I think the whole thing was put together some time ago, maybe 10-15 years. I searched ebay and found these. (I have not purchased)They appear the same. Mine are nice and bright. I have not found a duplicate of the brake/taillight in any search. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Clear-Black-LED-Stalk-Turn-Signal-Universal-Light-Motorcycle-Stem-Flasher-Saber/173890735611?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 I have small incandescent on the front till I'm bothered enough to figure out the ''led signal flash dilemma". It works that way by just swapping flasher unit. The PO of the parts bike had the signal circuit wired into the dash lamps somehow, and all 4 worked. But I didn't pay attn as to how when I tore it apart. I did see the tell-tale wire splicing later! I think KiwiRoy OR MartyNZ (sorry mates I don't recall which) has a way to wire them through a dash light (?) so all 4 flash correctly. Let me know if you need more precise measurements. the thin alm used on the mudguard is akin to flashing or window wrap used in home construction.

It's heavy stainless. My guess it makes it easier to bend, and on a line
-
the whole thing attaches to existing frame bracket which you'll see when you get all the other crap outta the way. 2 bolt holes on the tab you bend down from the center of the license plate area

Sure Bob. I thought I'd find a "Tail tidy" topic to place the info. This came up using a topic search. Maybe others can find it the same way.

I think someone on WG posted there and was making them several years ago. I can't find any recent activity so I don't feel out of line posting this. I made a template of the two pieces. Pretty straight forward. Cut and bend. The main piece is s/s and could be made in different dimensions to fit different lighting. The smaller piece is thin alm and has 2 mounting holes. Slight bending to fit contour and only serves as a mudguard. All pieces attach to existing frame mounts. Looking up at the mudguard Sorry the other small hole on the mudguard is hard to see

2020 update! This tidy came on my since parted out '03 RC.
-
something to consider for your tail tidy. easy fab, I have more details.
-
depends on the design I think. Two separate legs?- I agree w/docc. If fabbing a one piece "plate" (with a contoured center portion removed) I'd think that was strong enough to resist the side to side.

Agreed brother.... could be a lot worse. Happy Thanksgiving to you.

may as well replace the shift shaft seal while in there. https://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=79_225&products_id=2275 says they're out but maybe some elsewhere. They're cheap, get 2 in case you bugger one.
