Every great once in awhile I have fantasized owning an ideal special. Just buy the damn thing and be done with it. What would it be? Long ago I once thought a Kenny Dreer Commando, then it fell to a Duc Paul Smart. Now me thinks it's this bike. I'm preparing myself for a blown mind when this is machine is finished.

with the Napoleon's I've used in the past on other bikes, I have spun the mirror around on the ball to make the short side outward. depending on your personal ergos, it might work for you.

pretty sure the Cafe Sport is the same as Billybob.. double check. If you're referring to the link posted, I just meant that as an example of what pops up when you plug in the P/N's. I think there's both front and rear on there. all I can verify is the P/N's I posted are stamped on the bottom of the pegs I bought and installed on the Goose. They are nearly identical. Anyone buying should probably double check a Ducati parts fiche. Around 2000 - 2006 600 Monster, I think that's where I found it. Swooshdave posted the info a couple years ago as well. also note. the Duc ones don't have "curb feeler" bolt, but I use my toes for that. and they could be tapped if you need it.

here's a Duc one. P/N Right 46410171A left 46410181A These are for the 2000ish 600ish Monsters. They also have them with no rubber. I'm not positive of the whiches and wherefores. So left side, I bent that one as well. I replaced them with Ducati monster (years?) pegs which are an exact fit though they have a really nice rubber Cover. I’ll post part numbers a bit later when I get home.

anyone have a spare set of these? just the stick on ID tag, not the cover. thanks EDIT: I found the LeMans ones. Still available cheap from Guzzi $7.20 a pair. I Still Need the early ones below which are NLA. might have to buy them with the covers And or, these earlier ones.

So, my guard damage and a little comparo... My lay down produced a scraped plug cap and bent plug tip. did not crack the plug. I have read the beefier the guard the better chance of head damage. This is my only first hand experience and fortunately the outcome was 100% positive. The guard did exactly as requested. I also used stainless bolts for this area thinking, possibly mistakenly, they might sheer more easily. (and they look better). Top - stock. next - 'older' Joe Kenny. next - newer Joe Kenny. next - I forgot. and the round dosen't suit the square head as well imo. stock over my damaged JK older JK over new JK. note: the older version of JK is the nicest imo, but I don't believe they are being made now. Dr John used a similar fairly substantial guard, but he no doubt carried a spare head or two -

I have them on my bike and had a lay down this fall. Ground it off pretty good but rode home with 2 cylinders. I'll get to my other computer tomorrow and post a damage photo. Good luck with the prognosis. -
At the risk of thread drift, and regarding tank sizes, are we talking about 2 different frames and 2 different tanks? I'm fairly certain 99 thru (early) 03 external pump tanks were all the same and were oem on red And black frames. The internal pump tank being on the (later) 03 -05. The internal and external pump tanks are different lengths, though I only eyeballed it. 20mm sounds correct as I recall having laid them side by side, and the extra length was forward of the neck cutout. I no longer have the 'internal" tank to check. Thinking purely as a bean counter, MG had to recast the new tank for the inside pump anyway, possibly adding a bit of capacity to the front to compensate for the pump's space. Then why would they bother to change the frame? sorry posted same time as Phil

Great to see Keith. These machines respond well to love. My first oil change from new was done at the dealer. They overfilled it too.
