2000 V11 Sport -- Silver Red Frame -- $3250 OBO

howdy swooshdave! -
pm sent. thank you Bill

Presumably you're wanting a full kit in good condition. I'm just after parts and partials to keep up the sets I have. They damage quite easily.
-
Moto Guzzi brand accessory Factory Titanium please. Both sides or just one. Dents, scrapes, scratched. For parts, maybe repair. Mid pipes, hanger straps, connector springs, high pipe foot rest brackets too. whatya got? Thanks
-
I had them on a 2000 BMW R1100s and they were superb. Build quality unmatched, though doubt any weight savings. Sound - at first I used the baffles, then removed them. Good sound either way but as usual.... better without. Staintune used to advertise no fuel/air mods needed when using them. idk.
-
Yes Vic. I sent one to your email as well. Thanks

TW's are cool. Popular around here. Have you considered a Grom? I must have seen 20 of those at this years Spine Raid. I'd buy either one of those if a good - (close) - deal popped up. The ST is a steal. We know the care level invested in your machines.
-
Yes to what Doc said, I’ve used pliers on mine since it was new.

I owned 2 '02 LeMans for awhile. One was acquired through a trade. This proved a very handy set up for maintenance/ride scheduling. But, two of the same thing didn't provide the excitement I look for when alternating bikes. I had thought of using the "one in less favor" for customization, but the longer I pondered, the more I realized what beauties they are, (almost) right from the factory. So I sold it. Last year I acquired an early red frame, again through a trade. Now,.....here I have two clearly distinguishable personalities to suit my quirks. The handling differences make for a fun and interesting switch-up. The early frame noticeably out performs the the later in tight corners, while the fully faired, long frame gives me the locomotive, 'wind-her-out' responses in the long sweepers that I've come to know and love, as the essence of my Guzzi experience. The looks are quite different, and exhaust mods provide unique music. Both are fun to make changes to, and upgrades, though I won't be severely altering one of these. I have other bikes for that. The only other spine I would consider adding is the earli-er 1100 Sport, I. Other Guzzi?? Easy - Griso. Maybe 70's Eldo.
-
Agree, and with the black motor... it will stun!
-
Actually, it would be helpful to know which paint scheme you have. From this http://www.thisoldtractor.com/moto_guzzi_more_topics_photos_-_moto_guzzi_v11_sport_naked_-2003-.html it looks like they used 2 (maybe) different greys for the 03 Sport. All look to be flat sheen.
-
Yes they did use several greys. Look at this pic of my '03 Rosso Corsa (rip) and see if your grey is close. If it is I'll get a better pic to see if it's the same. If it is and it would be usefull, I could send/lend you a part to get analyzed for duplication. The pic can be blown up, and the greys on the bike are all the same, and are high gloss. Only the red has been repainted

lovely. Happy Thanksgiving
-
Exhaust, tail rack, and head guards are all that I can see non original. Rare model, low miles and 2 - 3 k below market. Granted, I have not seen her up close
-
This is one worth looking at. Texas is too far, and one V11 too many for me. https://www.ebay.com/itm/202832957114?ul_noapp=true
-

-

I don't have the spec handy, but I will say it's not crucial. There are several bolts and plenty of surface area to grab. It IS crucial they all be tight. At my age I just have a feel for fasteners like these, so I don't look it up. Be sure to alternate tightening as you would lug nuts, so all snug up evenly.

Docc, can your "recipe" of features still be had when ordering those? I want to get a set.... just like yours. I've seen them and they are superb. I want to see them in motion!
-
My '02 came with the painted one. Wish I had a vinyl one... just seems a bit more period.
-
I was stricken by the same curiosity. Here's an old thread from Wild Goose I think you'll like https://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=46890.0

Odometer stopped working - 2004 V11 Cafe Sport
footgoose replied to GuzziPet's topic in Technical Topics
I sold a good one and a broken one to forum member Phillarsen about a year ago. He was going to try to figure out what made them tick. Haven't heard results.- 29 replies
