Nice! Is that first one a book, or is it all brochure type stuff?

Uhh, yeah. Early on in this project, I think Scud was talking around $300 to get 25 made. I'm guessing the world demand is somewhere between 50-100. There's not a lot of money to be made on Guzzi parts.. MGCycle wants $8.63 for it. 50-100 is just what I would guess as well. and $300 for 25pc sounds very reasonable. I would imagine a set up charge is involved too.

Yowza!!

fwiw to me... the stock spring is worth $Zero.00 If I had not already "potentially" permanently fixed my own spring, I would likely pay whatever it cost for a ScudChuck spring. I want to buy one anyway, to contribute to a very worthy cause... and, so I will own one 50 for $50 is very optimistic.

I had a similar problem one time. It was a faulty relay. It went bad slowly over a couple weeks, then failed completely. The replacement failed the following season.

It's a sport nekked fer sure Looks great too

sorry, I shouda mentioned that I replaced it with a 15mm. The other bike, I filed down to 14.9mm while waiting for the new arm. It can be filed with a good file and some patience (time). As I've mentioned, I've had two '02 LM's and they both had the 16+mm boss. This could still create problems for those using the new spring, if it's not changed out.

this came out of the '02 Tenni

I have a stock pawl arm thats over 16mm. Was going to show a pic but imgzeit is down for some reason Chuck and Scud have put in far more r&d than Guzzi did on this part. I think it'll work fine

I agree with this. Not seen a Mistral, but I have a Stucci and an FBF and the Stucci IS built very well.

follow this advice. I did and was successful with my 4 year old battery.

Uploading nice sized photos can be a pita on the forum. Email them and I or others can post. Several of us have good img hosts. I'll pm my address if you go that route. Do we wanna see a Guzzi racer built by a member? yeah! Wade Boyd is a colorful chap and a great rider.

Are you documenting your very interesting project anywhere? We'd love to follow. Sorry I don't have answers.

metallurgy question. Do hot and cold cycles affect strength/life? not that the tranny gets that hot.

thanks. looks like $26. Subtitled. I didn't get thru checkout yet so add ? shipping. The trailer looks great!

The link to buy comes with a 'possible unsafe site' warning. Is there another way to buy? Do you know the price? Do you know if it's sub-titled, dubbed, or still Italian? thanks Dave, looks great

ok,now yer talkin Docc. Classical music. Great to see a Daytona Cobra, MGBGT racer, MGA racer. I kept waiting for the Healey music, sadly none was captured. The 2 tone Panteras made a nice V8 sound, as did the Falcon Futura. The 63 Galaxy made my arms tired. That thing had to have power steering. The white TR6 made the sweetest sound (good driver too), but ...I like sixes for some reason. Alfa GTV6 too! couple classic bike shots @ 6:10ish and 22:50. just a few seconds.

Rumor has it that some people are a little frizzy that it's being called a National... this be it? https://www.facebook.com/events/725198131004801/ I've read some of the frizzled objections. I don't get it.

I made it as far as the WD40 girls. The brunette was the sweetheart of that rodeo also.... best use of WD40 I've seen

I love the sounds Ducati makes. Idle and flying. Arrows are my favorite sounding cans so far... probly a mood I was in. "all about the motor" ....I'll have to think like that regarding my V Strom. I can forget about it's strange looks, and be quite happy. It's motor is a Duc clone, of sorts.

WoW, thanks Nobleswood. Good coverage.

You're an old soul Scud. I got to see them at a dumpy theater- turned rock venue- in Indy in 1971. They played their asses off for a hundred or so fans. Fast forward to 1981 and I'm managing a music night club for an old high school/army buddy, also here in Indy. He tells me he's booked them and wants to impress. (he saw himself as a rising agent) I had a line run to the dressing room for them with a tap on the wall, with whatever the closest thing to British beer was at the time flowing free. (they said it was too cold) The bus arrived early and we packed them off to dinner at a nice steak and seafood place. They were down to two original members, I think, but they played a great set. They left that night with a case of dark ale I had made. I got a letter from one of them a few months later letting me know that the ale was greatly appreciated, and that they hadn't been treated better on the whole tour. He sent me his aunt's recipe for elderberry wine. Good times.
