  1. I wish I could read Italian. About 40 pics into the first link http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19665it appears Mr Marabese had some influence in the design Speed Triple, among other bikes. Trying to find more evidence is tough, other than several instances stating - Marabese Design was hired by Triumph for work on the Speed Triple. I like the bike, but never a fan of twin headlights. I agree with those who say the R1100S is the main rival. I had them both. The BMW is a higher quality built machine imo, but lacked the character of the LM. Character is a huge piece of the whole for me. So bye bye R11S.
  2. Sorry for maybe sipping the question, but from which side looking? From the battery as I understand it? Yes, from the front. Relay#2 is a busy one for tachometer, charging reference, headlamps, stop lamp, dash warning lights, and horns. hey docc, is this true for all years of our Sport/LM?

  4. Here's the video from my buddy Mike on the Thruxton. And the other bike... My Triumph was a T100. Similar to the Thruxton but less sporty. I did have the flyscreen and Thruxton exhaust. Your friend starting the Vincent really made me nervous cranking her over slowly... with the ign on.... in sneakers. He must really know his bike.
  5. what docc said. mine started to dance. the base fell out of the angle drive and the cable innards fell out. new parts from MG cycle fixed her up.

  7. hey Swooshdave...I watched your "sunny Sunday ride" while I was in there. I for one would love to see more of the 850. The Thruxton is cool. Was yours similar? What was the other guy riding?
  8. +1 At least for me the Green enthusiasm has to do with the original... Telaio Rosso The re-introduction of the 2000 model was to pay homage to this, I believe. Alien invasion of 1971 And I had a Schwinn Stingray bicycle that same color. Are you thinking of getting another Guzzi?

  19. So, the dealer bought it from the owner.. using Ebay? then offered it up for sale? I saw this on ebay awhile back and noticed the shift spring fix kit. I grabbed some nice pics of it and posted here. Now I can't find it. I also contacted him to see where he got it. Japan 2 years ago.
  20. On mine, the 2 pieces held together with the large circlip are aluminum. There are no seals there. They just clip onto a flange to hold the fuel line t-junction in place. I haven't been any deeper, but it feels like if you pop that off the seal is under there.
  21. Next thing you know the avatar photo changes and it's all down hill from there! Of course the only people who complain about the Greenie attitude are the ones who wish they had one. Nice avatar swap. Workin in the TRex would have been an alternate choice... Re: this whole thread..... all bikes are adventure bikes

  23. Side by side visuals show the Stucci built heavier and stronger than the FBF. I ran the FBF for about 5kmi. No cracks. The Stucci was a Mother of all bombs to install. Though built well, it was not built straight. The FBF was a perfect fit, very friendly. I wanted to use it, and was going to weld on a 'crack reducing' re-enforcing plate, just making it a bit longer, so I could utilize the central hang bracket, but I got lazy and will just go with the Stucci now that it's on.
