  1. #122 was the best I've seen yet...Craigslist Fresno, CA. I have the web page saved on my computer, even though the ad has expired. I will PM you the email link. Here is what the ad said, and I do have the photos as well. 2002 Moto Guzzi LeMans Tenni #122 of 170 made. Google this bike for all the features. Hard to find Tekno touring bags included. 3,164 miles as of this posting. Location: Fresno Ca it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
  2. OK, yup I found one on eBay - I assume this is the more expensive adjustable one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wilbers-Type-641-Hose-Reservoir-Shock-to-fit-MOTO-GUZZI-V11-Sport-KR-98-/400586766737?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item5d44d4f991 Thanks Docc for the info on the Sachs, I'll see if I can find a set of spanners to adjust the pre-load. I can take a close up pic to show you where it's at now.
  3. Thanks PDoz - is Wilburs an Australian only brand? Haven't heard of them before... Got the bike cleaned up, de-greased, and ready for new parts as I get em!
  4. Not as nice as #6, but does have some nice (and pricey) mods!
  5. I thought they were 45's, but I will check when I get home!!! I can tell you that they are leaking all over my garage floor! That's probably the worst thing wrong with the bike, and my area of highest concern right now (not knowing who to go to, or to try fixing them myself, I heard they are pretty tricky on these bikes). They will be 45's, my late 02 lm has the 45's. If it's any help I'm having mine rebuilt by our local wilburs guy at the moment so should be able to tell you what springs are suitable , at least for a 95 kg rider. Any info on the front forks will be appreciated Pdoz.... I am about 87kg. What do you do about the rear SACHS shock? The bump stop is crumbling, but it seems otherwise OK. I heard they are sprung too light? At least it's not leaking (either that or there's no fluid left!).
  6. Yea I saw all those parts, they're from that blue/blue frame V11 with the custom painted tank. That bike was featured here on the gallery once. Anyways, I don't think the Veglias are interchangeable with the ITI, and on top of that, I've already yanked my speedo cable and plugged the hole on the tranny (16x1.5mm drain plug cut down to fit). Going to get Koso, Speedhut or what I really want are those Motoscope gauges $$$.
  7. Hahaha, not at all, a little wine makes for passionate workers (in Italy at least!). I'm much more bothered by how the bike was stored by previous owners, than by my hung-over Italian fratelli!

  9. Thank you Jim! Getting really excited about discussing/developing the resto-mod plan with you guys!
  10. As Docc stated, it is definitely a true 2003 model, the VIN number provess that with the "3" in it. There is a "2003" V11 sport for sale in Arizona right now which is obviously a re-badged 2002 model, crinkle paint, Veglia gauges and all. I made sure mine was a true '03 model before I even went and looked at the bike. I wanted to make sure I had the benefits of the '03 model year updates... Looks like I *just barely* made it in with the first one made... but according to Docc, there are still a few (minor) vestigal features from the older bikes. For the sake of my readers, here's what a rebadged 'fake' 2003 "2002 model" looks like: http://flagstaff.craigslist.org/mcy/4140675049.html
  11. Here are some photos of the bike before I bought it, while I was buying it, and how it sits right now. Been looking for the right "Guzzi" to get into, such as a modern Tenni Griso, but then suddenly on Craig's appeared a very customized Lime/Red Frame '00 with Quat-D exhaust and the whole works (high priced). But that was enough to get me set straight. V11's it is. Collectible, unique, sporty (yet not a one trick pony), and low enough production to satisfy my need for exclusivity! That same week, a lightly modded Rosso Mandello appeared for sale as well....so much for exclusivity! 10-15 V11's for sale in the whole USA, and 3 of them were in my town at once. Believe it or not, I actually contemplated getting the Lime Green show bike, the Rosso, and the '03 Sport Naked! Instant collection! But instead, I picked up a Norge so my wife can join in on the sideways V-pot fun. Probably a good move, since she's going to hate me for being in the garage re-building this V11 all winter. I will post my laundry list later (soon!), but for now, here are some pics:
  12. Thanks Docc! Looking forward to some good friendships on this board as well.... I'm not gonna lie, I need you guys to help me get this baby up to snuff! Joe
  13. Just picked up a local '03 V11 (along with a '07 Norge) last week, and I believe I might actually have the very first 'true' 2003 model year sport naked made. Serial number ends in 111111. The bike supposedly only has 6500 miles, but who knows as the ITI gauges are toast. The bike has some sun weathering, but mechanically, it is a very good runner. I am in the process of 'resto-modding' it now. I'll get some pics uploaded tonight. Happy to be here! It's not a Coppa Italia, or Scura R, but I guess it may still be somewhat exclusive, being the very first bike with all the '03 Aprillia/Piaggio infused mods.
  14. Thanks for your reply Kiwi- I think the speedhut GPS solution is a great way to go, but I think it will force me to reuse the OEM warning light pod, which I dont want to do (sun faded, but paintable I suppose). The Koso's have inputs for all those warning lights...doesn't seem that the SpeedHuts do, but I haven't gotten serious on the web site yet. BTW, the Veglias aren't half as bad as the ITI gauges that came on my bike! (MY'03+). ITI are literally throw away clocks. Anyways...more researching tonight!
  15. Hmmm, I thought for sure the Koso gauges were GPS based, but it's starting to look like the SpeedHut gauges are thee only ones??? And yes they are usually in the $300-$400 range (per clock). The Koso all in one units are similarly priced. I'm commited now, as I pretty much destroyed my transmission/speedo cable adapter yesterday, trying to plug it. I threaded the brass bearing for M8 threads, but then realized there is not enough space in the tranny hole for any extra bolt sticking out of the bottom of the adapter...It's probably a good thing. I can imagine the locktite breaking free, and the bolt vibrating loose ending up in the bottom of the tranny LOL. I am just going to get an oil drain plug, I think it's 16x1.5 thread.
  16. #122 is for sale and appears to be minty http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/mcy/4144650186.html And another low mileage bike, but not stored well (might be #130???): http://neworleans.craigslist.org/mcy/4082982728.html

This bike is being parted out on eBay right now!
  18. Did you ever get definitive answers on your questions? I just picked up a (true) '03 V11 Sport with already damaged ITI gauges and I am looking to go with the Koso GPS or Speedhut GPS with Guzzi graphics. Why would anyonewant to fool around with the cable drive when there is GPS? I figured there'd be more guys out there looking for attractive threaded plug caps for the transmission, than hall-effect sensor adapters etc.!
