Just now I have a Rosso Mandelo clutch on my workbench, tomorrow can I post here some pictures. I´am looking for a new friction disc, in whole Europe is only "fan design" RAM disc available http://hmb-guzzi.de/Clutch-disc-RAM-single-disc-clutch. Have somebody experience with this part? Or source for clasicc "round design" disc?

Just so, I think the same. I´ve machined 0,7mm from cylinder head down face, the squish area is flat, not bevelled, CR rise about 11:1. And now is time to rebuild to double spark ignition. Before

The squish is 1,8mm, almost optimal value.

K-Line guide sleeve, I've never seen this, it looks well and easy. My old guides kept very tight in head, wear was on inner diameter especially on exhaust side. My new intake guides are now 3mm shorter in port and conical form for better air flowing.

I think valve to piston clearance with thinner gasket is okay providing stock cam. My measurement find about 6,2 mm intake, 6,6 mm exhaust side free play, valve lift on TDC is about 3,5 mm, it will run good.

My engine - heads were the same looks,exhaust valves and stems worn explicit to replace, any seals and gaskets, another parts keep in. IMO all V11 have not valve stem seals. You can use head gasket from Breva 1.serie Nr.GU03022055 is 0,80mm thinner, compr.ratio goes to 10:1.

Hi Neil, are you sure it is rebound cartridge on your photo? My fork has 3 holes on compression side catridge, rebound has none.

The setting fault at your bike was in the better side, big twins likes fuel. I predikate your fuel consumption will go down.

Hi, It is very interesting report. Do you know what oil type you had before repair/rebuild? I thought that specification on 10W oil from the Guzzi workshop manual is not very regular. I feel the bike run especially at cold temperature as much overdamped. But I use Putoline HPX 10W fork oil, according to 40/100°C viskozity equals Motul 15W. I think its time to change my oil.

Hi, from what side is damper unit on your photos? LH/ C compression or RH/ R rebound?

What type is your fork, 40mm (to MY02) or 43mm (from MY03) leg diameter? I think for V11 Sport -MY02 with shorter arms is applicable a Showa piece from Aprilia RSV 1000 99-03, brake calipers mount point and triple clamp diameter is the same. Substantial is length of your fork.

I think with so much mods will your engine never run good with stock map. From my experience make the under engine exhaust much good volumteric efficiency in mid-range rpm. You have let start TunerPro and create your own version, switch off oxygen sensor and add fuel duty up to 4000-4500 rpm. If you want, I have my own custom map for Ballabio with QD under engine exhaust/stock airbox made for my friend.

Twin spark head, is important only if you plan more compresion ratio. I forgot, my flywheel is about 500 gramm lighter, I think is more possible, I am too careful.

It's make me very happy modify my V11 to be faster. Open airbox without lid, open exhaust mufflers, milled twin spark heads with stock piston, Stucchi cross-over and many work on personaly ECU remapping via TunerPro + GuzziDiag/Reader/Writer.

First make download a bin file from bad ECU with IAW15 Reader, save it and send to Meinolf or me, is interesting to see what problem has this software.

After re-flash stay the CO adjust value the same one as before. Its possible you need a new CO adjusting with another map.

I tested today the Fiat dual plug coil on single spark V11. First cable goes into engine, second cable on simple test arrangement. The spark jump easy 20 mm distance. I think the coil must work solid into real engine running.

Hi Ernst, your message about coils is bad surprise for me. My project is CR about 10,5 by redesign heads. Which coils do you recommend? What do you mean about japanese dual coils from Suzuki DL 650, primary 1-3 Ohm, secondary with caps 25-40 kOhm? sp838-its kind of you, oil input goes into new place, but plug bore angle and position have not many option, it is my first attempt.

On the image of your own heads? I also currently working with my machinist to modify my heads. Can you present a detailed photo from the outside? We are looking for the right place, the space is verry small. I will use the dual coil from Breva too, resp.the same from Fiat 1000 ccm auto engine and map by motoguzzinix. Thanks

For more compression you can mount head gasket from Breva 1100 1st serie, part nr.GU03022055, metallic stuff, 0,8 mm thinner then V11 gasket, shortening the the cylinders no more necessary.

Hello Jet, please measure inlet holes on your new GuzziTech headers, it interests me, I want to modify my tubes as well.
