Does she have Tarozzi rearsets? Anyone running rearsets on a MK3 lemans? Apparently they make the silencers sit a little lower than standard???

whew.....Any chance you can post a pic of your rig Groundhog just curious to see it. Mine is of course a Mk3. Im also interested in the Tarozzi rearsets/raisers and if anyone has the Tarozzi throttle set up I'd like to know what you think? Compared to standard ?? cheers

Thanks groundhog15 I like the Ohlins MG140 I think adjustablitily is limited.... Also eyeing up the front disks full floating which MGcycles have, would be interested to hear how they go if you get them on anytime soon. I didnt realize the Zard exhaust had a stepped header.....that would change the tone again....I'm currently looking into reverse cone mistrals....rather tasty

"Why not keep it stock? It will never be as easy to ride or have as much power as a V11. Just appreciate it for what it is. " Ahhh maybe in your head. It is easier to ride than my Scura and power is "relative" to feel not textbook. I appreciate for what it is which is why i purchased it in the first place. The bike is my only form of transport and I ride it.....so "upgrades" are a good thing! Advice on "upgrades" appreciated puritans

I'm all set to splash out and get my 83 Lemans out of the 80's and into the late late 90's (only on the inside) I'd love some advice on...... Best carburetor upgrade???? AND throttle?? I know I may need to man up a little on the throttle stiffness, but after my last two bikes (Scura V11and RGS1000) this system is archaic!!!! What electronic ignition? Best aftermarket pipes? Tarozzi highriser bars?? I have the air assisted upgrade to front end (FSA?) Priced a pair of OHHHHlins MG140 for the rear...... She is getting birthday and xmas at the same time My V11 Scura La Fancy'onis Carbon cans DONT FIT (trying to upload a pic of them staged on the bike) Some carbon Mistrals would be nice.....

Mostly it was loose hoses and having not been ridden for a while. ALSO the airbox is no longer there and one breather house (close to the headset/toptube would normally reside in the airbox. That hose sorted and cleaned and we are looking allot less drippy

Hey looking for some Ohilns MG140 for my Lemans MK3 1983 Good condition used is alright with me! PM me please if you have some for sale. Cheers Ross

Hey....Well I sold my Scura and just picked up a MK3 Lemans (traded down!) its original 66k old school is cool Only thing(s) are nice healthy oil leak after its first shakedown ride (previous owner didnt get out of 3rd gear for years). I have traced it back to the hoses that come from the top of the gearbox housing and go into the frame. As well the breather hose from the frames toptube seems to be dripping a good amount. I have tightened them all up which may be the solution just checking in here to see it others have any advice. Also do we check the oil with the dipstick screwed in??? On my RGS Laverda one checks the oil with the dipstick not screwed in....... Pics to come when once I have tricked it out!! cheers Ross

While on the subject of bearings....I am about to replace my Scura front and back, any Scura owners know if the sizes are different for the Ohlins front end? And the official size of the rear? Ok with SKB?? Which is what i can source.... cheers

Hey Great Forum.... I finally have a Scura after many years of dribbling over them on this forum and other places on the web...... My shakedown ride here in NZ down to the south island was great....except for the night she was left outside with heavy rain. It may have been the first time Scura (i havent named her/him yet) has been left out for the night! Anyway....next morning I got a start after a few attempts with no engagement of the starter initially. Then once running the battery light stayed on, stop for gas, wont start at all...mmhhhh....no neutral light (this may be a simple fix wire off) almost time to go direct starter to positive battery terminal with handy dandy wire.....then I discover she fires up with the stand up....To turn the bike off I just put the stand down then switch key off....battery light flickered for a while and seemed to "dry out" after 200k's now its off, Scura is running great once past 70 kph with carbon mistrals and lightened flywheel, otherwize "lumpy" (like a rotary engine) under 70 kph, I kinda like it I am just getting to know her and we will be together forever well thats always the intention.....any advice to help our relationship would be great all the best ......

Thanks for the link to the different models, I didnt see the Rosso Mandello, only produced in 2001 and 600 made worldwide. I am a little biased towards this model (my name being Ross) after visiting the factory in Mandello de Lario many years ago for there 70th anniversary, only the second time they opened the factory to the public! (i cant remember what year that was....90 something). I will dig out all my pics and post them one day (they will need to be scanned first!). I do believe i have some pics of the Daytona 1000 fuel injected before it was released.

Did i miss any? I am of the understanding all these bikes are the same base frame/engine/suspension/running gear??? The only difference is the paint scheme? I love them all and in the market again for another Guzzi My last was an 84 Lemans and the v11 smokes my tires. Price point is a big issue for me...so if its all the same I'm thinking any V11 will do and I can cusotmize to suit if I dont like the color scheme (i do my own work so price isnt an issue there). Anyone more knowledgable on these matters? all the best Ross
