Nice, and autofab have a snazzy slip of a tail on this one: http://www.autofabrica.com/#/type-9/
-
Are you saying it will ride, albeit not perfectly? Or that no sane human could tame it?
-
To be fair, if you'd love a tenni, i highly doubt you would regret getting one!
-
You can fit proper handlebars and adjustable pegs are available too. I shouldn't think of it as an uncomfortable bike but the peg/seat distance is poss on the short side? Whilst conversely it is a stretch to the (clipon) bars. How do other members, who might suffer with knee, wrist and lower back problems, fare on the v11?

Possibly shortly followed by: BANGG!
-
Hahahahaaaa!! Rraarrr!
-
Mmmmmmonza, they sound lovely with open pipes

Hey, you're onto something there... i see it too. If the shaft is misaligned on the bike would there be weird handling when changing speeds? How is it manifested?
-
Daytona, Ariel Ace and Dominator!

Really? It's one of my favourite aspects of the design. I even like the weirdly-shaped tank too!

I've always thought that the v11 rear end looked awful without the tail-section- and not so easy to customise perhaps? I have honestly yet to see a 'true' V11 that was fully customised to look better than the original v11sport. Even ghezzi- and we all know how good they are. I mean, not like a tonti, or f/bed etc, that had a structure in place to bolt to... Case in point: http://www.returnofthecaferacers.com/2016/12/round-head-racer-moto-guzzi-lemans-mkii.html mmmmmm! Should put this on 'what bike would you desire' thread.

Oooh, lovely! Always thought they looked miles better than the v12's. It's the obvious question but how does the ride compare to the v11?
-
Thats a funky tip. ^ I measured the 'ole diameter at 5.3mm (could only find some 6mm bearings in the bitsbox, natch). So for now there's a length of 4mm passivated rod in there.
-
Heh! I must've spent a good ten fruitless minutes on hands and knees, conk six inches from the floor & muttering foul foul language, before realising i was in a public area... I've come to regularly check the functioning of the rear light as mine, like cash1000's, does snag up occasionally. Imagine getting rear-ended on a bike... *shudder*.

What's .1 of a mil between gutsisti?
-
The dutch parts list lists it as 3.9mm?

Yep, mistral crossover installed. Alas, for my lovely mistrals were recently forced to be replaced due to fate (and a myopic taxi driver). So now I have the mivvs on her. Re mapping: I had purchased the necessary cable, and was intending to guzzdiag her, but after fresh plugs, filter clean and baseline tps reset, she is back to running like a peach. With added super mega bonus of eradication of any (noticable) pinking. Yayy. If you can stomach the price, the mistrals are just lovely.
-
Ah! Cheers muchly doc, it landed somewhere in a patch of grey gravel, the b*stard, so i've had to remember to dab the rear for illumination- not ideal!
-
I can certainly vouch for the mistral titaniums having a superb low rumble.

Hi up, I was disassembling the front brake lever and a wee ball bearing pinged off into the ether. Can someone tell me where it came from? I looked at the exploded diagram in another topic but it's in dutch and the picture is indistinct...

That's great guys, but apologies, i've not been clear enough. I do have a front triangle fitted that i scratched out myself, which is fine and is keeping my nice hp shock clean enough. It's the main bulk of the hugger- particularly the fact that the rear portion doesn't seem to extend backwards, and wrap around the wheel, enough to prevent road spray flicking up over the wasptail. Hmmm, let me find a pic of something... Here's an example, plus some eye-candy: http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/images/SUPERMONO_front.jpg

I love riding my v11 too much not to ride her in inclement conditions. (Plus, gotta hone those skills eh?) As we all surely must know: The oe mudguard is utter pants. Road salts and dirt all over the wasp-tail, poor, poor shocker slathered in muck (if you don't have the trick, home-made triangle fitted). So, is there owt else that I can fit? I don't give a munky's if it looks rubbish- i want functionality dammit.

Heh! So sorry doc but as i swapped blindly till it magically fixed, i cannot be certain. Stuff worked- lights and fuel primed when key turned, but no starter turnover. My koso clock has a voltage display setting that was reading around 11.3 ish so i pulled the battery and hooked it up to my optimate for a while. (Oddly, the koso disagrees with my multimeter so i'm unsure on that). Relay was a 5 pin gei unit. She's running like a top now though. Even stopped pinking so i am most pleased!

Do the contacts just wear down over time or is it a speck of crap preventing good connection?
-
Today I found out that a relay can *click* but still be faulty. I had just performed a valve adjust, replaced the plugs (again), reset the base tps (again), and charged the battery. Was feeling saucy so i drilled out the xorst baffles too. Went to start her up and .... *clik*, nowt. A few swappings of the relays brought her back to life and a timely find of a vid on youtube prompted me to check all my relays (plus all the spares i got off Harry Boyle). If anyone is interested, you can do this by attaching the relay to a spare battery, then use a multimeter to check for resistance across the circuit. It's a great tip as i had thought, in my leccy-naivety, that a click meant all was well. It don't. Oh and the mivvs, sans baffles, are appallingly loud. I spent all afternoon today pissing off the inhabitants of Sheffield by rorting about like a twat.
