    Tank Bra

The Bagster/Baglux system takes its tank bag the bagster website was a bit of a mess with the listings for the Moto Guzzi options, there are two tank harness for the V11 available in several colour options From previous posts on this subject - if you search "bagster" should find loads of comments
  5. It tastes so good they use it as a hat
  6. Sense of humor by pass time from a couple of posts today, but that's what you expect when the weather starts to get warm and you forget that English is not everyone's first language. And even those whose it is may not be that proficient (hands up) and a forum post is without all the body language that makes up the majority of face to face communication. So time for a ride to get some nice cooling breezes, but tog up just in case obviously I can't recommend and in moderation and not whilst driving
  7. Soren had a lemans fairing fitted to his Scura. http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2890&hl=
  8. Looks good Jaap, not much left original from when you started. I look forward to seeing it in the flesh next month. nb your neighbour has got a pink t shirt like mine
  9. I think it was a Coppa with the fairing added. It has Coppa front end inc bars. Manuelbigs profile shows a standard coppa in the photo.
  10. Last year routes I used multimap.com saved the picture and then in "Paint" I freehand drew the route in and then saved it. This years routes I've used microsofts "autoroute" and screen saved the result, then edited the size in "paint" to produce the map. The autoroute is a bit cumbersome but as I had time I plotted all the landmarks in and gave it a whirl, bundled software that came with the machine. I use the The RAC Route Planner and my 4 miles to an inch road atlas to plan routes. Sometimes the route planners want to take you one way so have to add in additional waypoints. The Michelin one is very similar to the RAC and makes a good fall back. I normally run a route through two planners. If I'm looking at maps on line I use Multimap.com and getamap.co.uk which is the OS's, they differ slightly on format especially close up. But get a smaller window on the OS. The RAC route planner does let you zoom in on the route but isn't really a map.
  11. I've sent Carl a copy of my June dates, so if our free days match up as I'm only 50 miles away. Chris I'm working on the 24th but I think it's a 4pm start not midday so I could be game but would have to be out of there at 2. If it's midday it would be 10 which would be too early for anyone else
  12. It's not as sporty as your sporti, I've a 2003 Lemans in Black (Grigo Titanium) bought July 03 but could have been made 02. In the US you seem to be upwards of 6 months behind on the model changes. I don't know if that's just shipping time or introduction time. 2002 was a model change, there are cases of hybrids using bits of both but these have been to my knowledge naked models. the 2002 model change as far as the lemans goes: Black ITI instruments not white Vague lies. Balance pipe between the headers. No chin pad on the fuel tank, has internal fuel pump as well. Hollow front axle spindle. Wider rear rim takes 180 as standard. Supposedly some engine internals as well. The crinkle engine paint issue effected the pre 02 and post 02 models, but is variable. Mostly it depends if it was a grease day or a no grease day at the factory and how well it was put together. Other than the paint the variables seem to be: rear wheel spacer length premature wear on wheel bearings - common fault ( a dozen or so) exhaust headers can crack - infrequent fault ( a handful) the pawl spring in the gear box - common fault (a couple of dozen maybe on this forum) rear shock eyes sheer - very very rare fault. (3 known world wide) These are all easily repairable. Other consistent niggles are the side stand/clutch/neutral safety interlock which can cause issues when one part goes dicky, hey it's Italian electrics. Some did come with leaky seals engine /gearbox If you treat her like shit she will corrode and the paint will fall off (mine). If you look after her there's a good chance the majority of your paint will be fine. I may be way off on the numbers but that's my perception
  13. Pictures and discusion. Further discusion in which the creator Manuelbig introduces himself. His profile shows he popped by last week so he might even comment himself, or you could contact him.
  14. Have you left the fast idle lever on? That's always fun as it makes your braking distance longer!! Don't ask why I know (twice) But Ratchet is probably spot on.
  15. The recording worked. Great spectacle hurtling down narrow minor country roads, the bunching and overtaking through the corners which are realy 'T' junctions, all to a backdrop of stone walls; fences; telegraph poles; banks and other fearsome objects. Normal roads with subsidence; overbanding and paint. Serious skill and nerve. One queston why is called The Cookstown 100, the 100 bit? I'd assumed was a 100 miler or something but was 12x2.1 miles and in the past was 12x5.9 miles.
  16. Sorry to hear this Rick. I hope you mend well and quickly.
  17. It's got to be a sticky switch. side stand/clutch/neutral? Thats if you did the two bullet connectors under the front left of the tank, I think these are the ones that sometimes work if you waggle the bars.
  18. Shame about the MGS-01 but it sounds that you had a good time
  19. Guzzi 323 did a fit with the wing rack, did involve some cutting. I'm not sure if the pictures are still on line (not showing on work pc) but this thread covers lots of givi options http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...topic=2887&st=0
  20. Thanks, will record it as on earlies so might not stay up to watch it. Got Sky+ now (super prole tv - built in tivo) so won't have those embarrassing repeats of those recording cock ups I had trying to record that thing last time
  21. Another great trip thanks for sharing it with us (even if conducted on one of those BMW spawn of the devil bikes - who knows what next Harleys around Nevada? ) (seriously these trips are nice to see even if you weren't able to do it on your V11)
  22. H5N1 - Bird Flu RC51 - Enzoitis
  23. I'd got mine from motomecca but when this question was last asked they nolonger were advertising them. so it would seem they're back in stock. There are avaialble from http://www.bags-bike.com/linee.htm the Blir which seems to be the same
