No discount but you get a personal fitting service -
Thanks Aaron, I'll be down the bank tomorrow, to see the best way of sending you a cheque. If need be I'll PM you. I think the last time my wife did something like this she ended up sending cash by recorded delivery.

If she's been stood for 3 months I could suspect gummed up injectors. But first the basics. Are you getting a spark? test by holding plug against head when you turn over. Are you sure you're not getting any fuel through, are the plugs dry? smell of fuel? Is it fresh fuel? Is yours the one with the fuel petlock? is it open? and enough fuel in tank? Did Phoenix run her once they'd fixed the oil light? If so I could be something done in transit. Check the fuses and relays. How's the battery? Check and tighten all connectors Sorry not much help - I'm used to my old trials bikes not starting not the Guzzi. I hope you can get her sorted quickly

Hi Chuck, There're a few Guys here that have direct experiance/own either all or two of the Guzzis you're seeking to compare ( Cali, V11, Centauro) The advantage with the V11 is that it comes as standard in several forms. One of them should accommdate your Height and reach. Thinking more so the billybob/cafe sport/coppa but I don't think you'd be too cramped on the lemans. The only issue could be the positioning of the foot pegs, some like to change them. I think this may be because they came from cruiser styles and just aren't used to the "European" position. Neither are particularly common so it may be a case of whats available. I'm sure a more knowledgable member will be along over the next few days to give you a more detailed answer why you should favour one over the other. Even if it's just that they want the centauro engines for their MGS1 replicas

Nice Trip. I've run into the picture thing myself. I now prepare the report on Word including the links to the photos and then cut and paste it in small chunks. Hopefully you can get all the parts in before someone replies

My light normally comes on at about 120miles. Yesterday it came on at 104 , I can only assume I hadn't quite brimmed it. This worked out at 31mp(imperial)g or 26 mp(US)g I get better milage when hooning around, I think WOT and too higher a gear on the motorway makes it suffer, but I'm not lugging the engine at all. I did once get 140 miles and the light hadn't come on, I thought it had blown I don't tend to worry about it only just where the next fuel stop is when in more remote areas

For those who couldn't see it . Starts of with what appears to be a ladyboy , and then shows some garish small cruiser monstrosity, then it gets even worse with even more bling, then what appears to be a stone clone but in purple, then the ladyboy again, The bikes are over laid with what appears to be price. It wouldn't get past the film censors. They were truly horrible I'll upload stills bear with me

The oil cooler has gone. I assume there are several diffences between the 750/850 and the 1100, and there's more to it than different barrells. I've not really paid that much attention to the smaller blocks. Also black frame, how much is common? I know there are those who can't/don't want a big block. But if it's not signifficantly smaller what's the point? costs v sales? EDIT - This thread makes makes my observations redundant

Now don't be selfish. Start a thread and show your project as it unfolds. I'm sure there's more than a few who'd be intrested. It does have V11 content. You could even use this one

I had a quick look at my bike this morning and noticed that I've lost the lower part of the front indicator lens. When following Keith, we overtook a car, I was a little bit too close and got sprayed with the stones in the centre of the road as Keith crossed over them. I did check the headlight then and was relieved to find no chips, I didn't notice any damage to the indicator but I assume that it did it then but might not have fallen apart till yesterday Damage not obvious but from beneath Moral of the story don't follow too close

Do you think they'd give me a job. I had a PPL for two years only renewed it the once, expired about 20 years ago. No IFR rating, no RT licence either. I have subsequent RAF Navigator experiance I got chopped just before the end of the initial low level phase, crashed through one to many MATZ I must have nearly 60 hours on Cessnas 150/152, It's just like riding a bike- isn't it? I loved the 150 40 degrees of flap, there's no way you're going to overshoot

Round Britain Rally 2006

The landmarks arrived last week and I've spent every free minute Plotting the 84 landmarks rough position on my copy and stuck together Road Atlas index pages. Then using Google and online mapping to fine tune the landmark. I've made a single sided sheet of A4 on each with a photograph and detail map 1:25000 and a bit of free text if needed. There are a few where I've not been able to do both. But I'm happy enough that I'll be able to find the landmark. However two landmarks are causing me some difficulty. One is my local (within 10 miles) landmark and I think I'm in the right area so should find it when I turn up - I hope. But no problem doing repeat visits. The other unfortunately is nr Plymouth. I've found a dead ringer at another location and thought they might have mixed the clues up, especially when I couldn't initially find marked on the map that locations feature, but have subsequently found something that matches. I have one suspect location but otherwise it will be turn up and search. I only want to make the one trip. I've then put all the landmarks in to autoroute, not so much to route plan but to produce maps to post here ( I know you're that interested) Roll on 1st April. I did spot one on the Welsh Waltz 2 but was good and didn't cheat. -
With out taking this thread too far off tangent. My eldest (just shy of 15) this week is on a school history trip visiting Nuremberg, Prague and Berlin. Last year they went to the Somme battlefields. So hopefully the lessons of history are being learnt. My lasting memory of a trip I did with the air cadets when I was 16 is that of the Inner German border I hope people can make informed decisions. It's a shame it's taken the best part of 30 years to debunk the theories of David Irving The oppression of views can make them attractive to some. Unfortunately it's the same people who perhaps couldn't make a reasoned decision. Oh and the marking up of the bike is just poor taste

Mine is standard. I use Teknos (paniers), Bagster (tank bag) and a tailpack and bungy cords. I've done a few longish days strung together. I find numb bum to be the only issue and after 100miles of slab a stretch is welcome. Last week in the cold I did 505 miles one day. Most of my really long days, on last years RBR was broken down to managable legs by alternating between fuel stops and landmarks. She will do slab work but is better off the slab. If it's 500 miles on the slab in one go to get to where you want to go there are better choices ( a car ) but if you can mix the types of road and are stopping to see things on route and fuel ( I do 130 between fills - could stretch it further -fuel light on at 120)

No problem - You are aware of the issues by grounding the positive terminal with your spanner across the frame or ecu. Why make extra work? Just take a little bit of care when connecting/disconecting the battery terminals.

I had issues with my neutral light not working, I think this also effected the side stand cut out circuit, but it was so long ago I can't remember. It was sorted at it's 500mile/first year service. Thet said they changed the switch. I would think if the neutral light is coming on it wouldn't be the gearbox switch. It does sound like the side stand end - lots of WD40 and also check the clutch conectors does it make a difference if the bars are wiggled a pair of connectors to the left front under the tank can also be prone to poor connection.

Only if I'd got the one as you walked out the petrol station

The only help I can offer is that when I had my charge light issues, came on stayed on, the search threw up carls advice re the pair of yellow wires front left under tank. I cleaned them up but found that the red/green - red connecters had corroded and burnt themselves out. I don't think this would produce an intermitant fault as the current would tend to burn out any week connection here. sorry to be such a

Hosted them on Photobucket now , have been able to put the first half of links in but the sites gone down for maitainance, so fill finish then, still shows the links but can't get to the new ones Edit - been able to work out the urls so all there now (except the map) I've uploaded the map. I'm sure Jaap's bandwidth and server space can suffer the additional 102kbs But thats why I host my piccys

If you're using IE try right clicking on a box select properties and copy (cut and paste) the address into a new window. or i'll photobucket them and might have to upgrade my subscription
