I came down from an FJ1200 110 real BHP and 75 ftxlbs, I don't really miss the extra but I don't think I could drop down to Thruxton levels 70 Bhp and 53 ftxlbs even though I'm normally within it's performance envelope. Though I think it's also a bit twee for a fat old bugger like myself. There's no way I could fold up enough for a Ducati Sport Classic. There are the odd occasions when the old bus runs out of puff but I'm glad of the imposed limitation because on these occasions I'm not sure where I'd stop left to my own devices I don't have very much won't power.

You'll need a spread sheet style grid cross referencing members against threads, some threads had several quiz points. shouldn't take you too long to go through the entire Quiz Forum (not that I'm waiting for my (missing) 12th to be acredited )

It does seem to be dragging on this year, I'd hate to atribute it to Global Warming I've had next to no real snow fall this winter, just a few light sprinkles hasn't lasted more than a day. But it keeps trying. This morning there was a light frosting on the bike and cars. We are getting nicer days but a few that are quite cold. I hope that it picks up a bit for when Orson comes over next week and we head to the Welsh hills.

In the gallery section of this very forum - you will need to log in Diesals with Hepo Beckers Diesals again slightly different view And this thread shows some standard fit Givi and a neat modded wingrack done by Guzzi323 this would seem to be the option if you're going to leave them on all the time and want hard bags, but get a spare seat unit.

When I did my RAF Navigator training at medium level flew in the back of a Dominie (HS125) sat at a map table and bowl of orange porridge (radar) against the rear bulkhead facing backwards. I tried not to look out the windows (I failed the course at low level in the Jet Provost on the two ship phase)

A- Guilt at the number of points have amassed already, giving others a chance. B- Sulking, Jaap still hasn't added mine for that HD Cagiva SST250. C- Haven't a clue. D- All of the above. No quiz point for the correct answer. Might just wait for some of those clues and snatch it at the death -
10 degrees well thats like summer. Don't want to stop for tea too often or will need plenty of wee breaks. You'd be allright with your Chippendale style quick release suit. I think as long as the rain holds off we'd be okay

You're working on a Saturday?!? When I was in the RAF (OK. I never got out of training) it was very much an ESSO (every Saturday and Sunday off) service. But would keep a minimal deterrent available but most of the non QRA stuff would be off. The Father in Law mk1(also RAF) used to preside in Court Martial and caused some consternation buy running them on military working days. 7am starts not the usual civil legal 10am. Civil lawyers were used in some cases. But even he used to have weekends off. I thought the defence of the realm was handled by the TA on weekends. anyway have a good dinner -
How about another remake of "Cyrano de Bergerac" I know there's been "Roxanne" and "The truth about Cats and Dogs" but I can see niche market you could exploit. The basic plot would be the motorcyclist (played by yourself) whose torn between two motorcycles say for example a flash modern Japanese sports twin (such as an RC51) and a more subtle quirky Italian motorcycle whose strengths are perhaps not obvious to all (such as a V11). Whilst you could film this in Belfast I think to appeal to the American market you would need to set it in the North West USA, perhaps you could pass Belfast off for Seattle if you drape a Boeing logo over Shorts' factory gates. You mustn't forget the bit at the end about bearing no relation to real or frictional (sic) characters. And to appeal to the other sort of Japanese twin fanciers perhaps at the end the V11 could introduce you to her sisters and you could ride them all.

I did have difficulty holding the revs up with one hand and both probes with the other and getting both to contact the battery terminals so the reading might be suspect. As I'd managed to get into my garage as it was raining I didn't want to run it too long. So I thought I'd use her for a couple of days and then check the readings another time. I could remember that it shouldn't exced 14.7V but couldn't remember how high it should have gone. It's a case of it appears to be okay I'll just leave it at that It sure was nice to be back on her today, after a layoff of 9 days but only a couple enforced

Would that not be likely to cause problems should air get into the system, there would no chance for it to bleed out and cavitation* would prevent it being pumped out *don't think it's true cavitation, but the pump would only try and push the air which is compressible or displaceable ( is the pump impeller or diaphragm)

I heard that they're playing Hyde Park on Sun 2nd July. Roger Waters is on the !st which is more my cup of tea. I've not bothered for tickets as hope to be doing The National Rally -
Jim I had a similar quandary over a quiz point. It's sometimes difficult to find a satisfactory answer. Using that as precedent BFG should get the point as he posted the most comprehensive answer regarding the motorcycle all the correct information (eventually) The ancillary questions should be for a bonus point or a bit of fun. I wanted to vote for Xenia so I could say "I would give her one" so I put her in to Yahoo (the quiz came up 2/3 down the first page of hits ) She seems to have lost a lot of weight I think we should send her food parcels. I know some of you would like to give her a large portion, but I don't.

Reconnected the wires. My bullet connectors are only rated for 15A and scotch block (even I accept they are a bodge) were rated similar or less, So I used a single from a 30A chocolate block. I had 12.5V across the battery before I started. On connecting the wires and starting the charge light went out straight away and at tick over getting 13.6V and at 4K 13.9V I've sealed the ends and connector screws with multipurpose sealant. Always a bit of a bugger getting insulating tape around so will have another go when I've got the fairing off and the sealant has cured. I might even change it to Bullet connectors then if I can find some suitably rated ones. Having cut the original connectors I can see that they were very oxidised. Thanks again for all your help.
