  1. Unfortunately all of it- whats a "turnout"?
  2. Need to see the pictures
  3. I have the Altberg Clubman Roadster, a year round boot , totaly water proof, no issue with cold though I only tend to shorter trips over the winter Mine were £100 at the BMF 2 years ago, from their stock at the show. a slight second though not noticeable just their high standards of workmanship. I don't go for the lace up ones due to risk of laces getting caught etc
  4. The Entry Form forms via PDF are available to down load along with Regulations Despite being on Days off that weekend, There is a leave embargo because of the Football World Cup. There are two semi finals for the 1st July. I run the risk of having my day off cancelled at short notice should England make it to that stage. They'd have to win their pool over Sweden,Paraguay and Trinidad & Tobago. To play on that day. I'll think I'll run the risk. They were allready looking for change of duties for one of the days I've allready got booked off for one of the rallies. But I'm okay as my leave stands.
  5. I know Arai use different shell shapes for different geographical markets. I suppose eventually will have all shapes available in same multiethnicity market and you'd have to specify size and fit type.
  6. I think a bodge would have been having normal indicator bulbs wired in and working hidden under the seat to provide the resistance and the Led indicators wired in for show
  7. Not normally unless you've a green V11 then then green bias of Fuji colour works best If I was to do it on my grigo titanium I could get away with monocrome
  8. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/beds/bu...rts/4711998.stm I've seen the log on this and the initial outline report. I don't know if the gap closed on him or it wasn't there to start with. It was a wet morning and just before 0900. within a week of my post and on the very same stretch of road
  9. The standard answer seems to be put it in a 35mm film canister and cable tie it up out the way.
  10. Here are my Hooters. I was fascinated by them when i was a small boy, they were kept in my Grandads shed being my uncles and had come into disrepair. We rescued them when I was about 10 and restored the case and I've had them ever since. They're not every ones cup of tea
  11. Well had a look at the caliper today. The problem wasn't the seals but the washer between the banjo and the caliper body were badly corroded and had started to leak there*. Remove and replace the washers also cleaned up the bleed nipple. Once bled, replaced the pads and seems to be okay. * Perhaps in retrospect there had been a drop in rear brake performance over a couple of days
  12. I'm looking forward to that. Seen some other stuff in back of one of the bike mags. I'm sure they don't differ to much but I't be good to see the real McCoy. Will Colin be compressing the spring or undoing the damper rod?
  13. I'm just over 2 1/2 years with 18,000m. I'm not looking forward to doing the forks, I'll probably leave it till after the summer, but seeing my procrastination being the thief of brakes, perhaps I should do it sooner.
  14. Definitely a bit low now, theres lots of fluid on the caliper and all around the tyre side wall. I would be concerned for the paint on the bevel box if it was on the same side and if it hadn't fallen off allready
  15. I have found that my rear brake pads last about the same length of time as the rear tyre. I changed my rear tyre in December and thought that I should do the pads. I've kept an eye on the depth and have had some left. Last week I picked up some pads from a local accessory shop. They didn't have Ferodo Platinums so I got some EBCs. They didn't have molycote so just got some 80w90. Tried the local car shop they did have "molyslip" But I think I'll go down the Shock proof Heavy for the bevel box anyway. I checked the pads and there's still some life in them, so I decided that I'd order a set of front pads and two pairs of rears, that seemed the sensible thing to do if paying postage. Ment to do that today but with the wife ill with "man flu" over the weekend I've been just too busy That way I'd have Ferodos allround, and keep the EBC's as spares. Well on the way to work I noticed that my brake was particualy inefectual. I then noticed that the pedal wouldn't return. On stopping I checked the brake disc was cold, a sucking noise when moving the brake pedal. check around the caliper and theres brake fluid. I suspect that the backing pad on the Ferodos may be thinner that the standard fitment and/or that when the wear limit is stated as 2mm they really mean it, allowed the pistons to come out either too far or allowed the seals to twist. I'll have a close look in daylight tomorrow. I did have a little search on the forum and ROTORHEAD said back in october 04 that Brembo didn't do a caliper seal kit. There was also a mention that Brake cleaner was harmful to seals WTF That will teach me to clean them out when I last changed the pads. Will I need to split the caliper to reseat the pistons and seals? Do they do a repair kit?
  16. I thought the chook was called Colin
  17. I saw it on one of Dan's road trips WOW , spent a bit of time googling it afterwards, is on my must see list.
  18. It's an additional blade that fits to the screen, rather like a spoiler on the back of a hot hatch back. The theory is that it diverts some of the air giving the effect of a large fairing, but still allows some to pass through to reduce turbulence. dbdicker's Scura has one Mixed reviews at best
  19. My original reply didn't work because I'd used too many smilies so have it as an attatchment.

I don't that tent is very waterproof
  21. It's been recently reclassified from a Class B to a Class C. It's still illegal to posses, but your not likely to get arrested for simple possession, unless you're spliffing up in public or a minor or some other aggravating factor comes in to play. Max penalty for possession is now 2 years where it was 5. Supplying syill remains at 14 years

I made that mistake once. After a week of being beasted about Salisbury Plain. On the last night too knackered to make up my bivey, and just crawled in to the large thick plastic sack that all my kit had come in out of stores, which had been save to use as a ground sheet. Woke up in the middle of the night wringing wet Need space to breathe and a bit of ventilation.
  23. :!: Don't just throw them over the seat. :!: Make sure that they're secured in place and can't slip down and get dragged into wheel. Okay there's more of an issue with tail packs but it can happen to throwovers as well. This is why I like my Teknos. Have a wire frame that's not too noticeable.
