  1. Don't forget it includes delivery. - Perhaps by singing telegram
  2. But the drag as the nicely sliced air tumbles and disrupts as it comes of the large rear robs you of 5mph
  3. You can always wash the Rossa Mandello down with a high pressure hose. Being a sad bunny I just looked at Will's travelogues and it seems he always has them that way round. It must if he meets a young lady she will have plenty of room for her feet
  4. Sorry but if I wanted to go down the Brutale route I'd take a sharp turn to this one It's got a frame like your Skorpion and a triple like the triumph, a owner in financial difficulty like the MV ( might cost more than a Euro) A dubious record on build quality on the Tre (like yours and my favorite) But I think it's nicer than the Brutale - but I wouldn't but one
  5. Not for me either
  6. Are you sure just because it's brown and sticky doesn't mean it's a stick
  7. It's some sort of American game, rather like their bigger rounders version. That way they can have a world series and still win. They learnt this from the English who introduced Cricket and Rugby (I'm not sure about football as has so many roots) around the Empire. And then go onto teach good sportsmanship by then playing for the ethos of the game and not bothering about winning. Occasionally a mistake happens and we end up winning but then go on and play really badly so not to make the same mistake again. The secret is to pretend to want to win. But the Americans like winners so they have their own games so they don't upset everyone else. This prevents those we're not coming to your Olympic Games spats. Which spoils it for the British because we could end up winning if we're not really careful. It's rather a good game because you can dress up in tights and armour.
  8. It doesn't work for me on IE at home but it does on Firefox, and IE at work. So I obviously need to tweek my browser
  9. Oh Yes.
  10. My family hail from the Hants/Wilts borders, and I was born down there also , but we moved away when I was young and only made a brief return aged 10-11. One of the landmarks for this years RBR was in my paternal home village - didn't need to do any research for that one Despite being bored and under employed today I resisted the temptation to do this Obviously you aren't finding then tightening up on heat cycles. I've only limited oil filter changing experiance (on by hand smidge of oil ob ring - allways off by strap wrench). But I would deduce that either you've a far greater grip strength than I or perhaps they not tight enough and could risk loosening with results. But with your experiance with both yours and Helens it must be the grip.
  11. Now how come a Yorkshireman has such a tight grip? Clue for the non Brits - Oil filter is wallet sized and a Yorkshireman is like a Scot but with the scense of humour removed You can disprove this by if we get together at a meet
  12. I have Canons and A1 and AE-1Program and a whole bunch of lenses. I never moved on to the auto focus lenses but I haven't used them in years not since we got digital cameras. I find these more than adequate for the point and shoot that I tend to do these days. That said last years Guzzi trip photos were mainly done on a basic point and shoot digital as was families 2nd camera and therefore the one to get soaking wet in a leaky tankbag (didn't happen). But we've just bought Debs a newer one so I get the older one to take with me and the kids get the basic jobby. I keep looking at my SLR but they're just too much hassle these days
  13. Damm you both blowing my credablity. I was next going to explain why Aquataine should be returned to English possesion along with Normandy and Calais. ( I had sent the correct answer by PM just prior to GB's post)
  14. I think I paid about £16 for a pair of standard gaskets plus postage. I carry a spare pair. my main issue is I think getting the clamps tight enough. Put me down for a pair of shims, i'll give'm a try. I prevaricated enough last time they were available
  15. Right On That's Funny Lets Make Further Humorous Observations
  16. I'm given to understand he finished 154th with Pavey 155th and Hall 156th right behind him (stage and scratch positions). They appear to be following team orders in supporting Charlie. I believe the objective is to get Charlie to the finish and make a programme. The other team members may not be fullfilling their potential but that's not what they're there for. - - Did you see the 125cc GP I think it was 3 races from the end. Two KTMs had buggered off into the distance and the number two rider kept harriering his team mate making it obvious that he was the faster of the two and slipped him on the home straight taking the win and in doing so ensure his team mate couldn't take the title and didn't better his 3rd position overall. There are times when you you have to make those scarafices. Pavey has to remain behind Charlie so if he has bike problems he can hand over his bike, sort Charlies if possible and then catch up. Too many people knock Charlie after the LWR. The LWR was possible due to Ewans bankablity. Following its success this has been transfered to Charlie. And this may raise the profile of the Paris - Dakar in the public eye which can only be a good thing, it won't to BMW any harm either. I've not been able to catch any of the programmes yet Quick check of adjusted positions shows 135 137 and 134
  17. I tried "solid" tyres on my ATB and because I'm a fat git the rolling resistance was incredible. Like riding on very soft tyres. I'm not sure they would have been much better had I been svelte. Side by side on a down hill stretch I had to pedal to keep up with a coasting friend. I went back to normal tyres but use a Kevlar barrier between tube and tyre.
