  1. I thought: .002" & .004" California specs .004" & .006" Europe specs .006" & .008" Raeco specs When I did mine I couldn't find my metric guages so a quick google threw up 6&8 thou so I set those. It was only later that I realised they were the widest, no wonder it's a bit tappy But as always I could be wrong (need a smiley with a huge hammer)
  2. It's not ment for the ordinary person, one has to decifer the link and only then having done so proved yourself worth of viewing, and so therefore will understand it as art and not an afternoon making jelly shapes with the kids. It eventualy came up with a video link, 7.62mb worth , but I think she has a ZX81 as a server. It was worth the wait - guess what - it wobbled
  3. Jim, You've found the time that g.forrest sleeps or that he has a life outside of this forum unlike some of us You'll just have to wait for ratification.
  4. Leading on from TX Lego Village People Do you have Lego in the US? We do use bikes, mainly for escort duties and such. We will put out bikes additional to the regular cars but only if numbers permit. Bikes are excelent in some areas but not so good in others. Can't box in during a pursuit. Don't carry any equipment, can't be sole vehicle on any incident left in the carriageway. Just asking to be mown down by myopic car driver. We also have plain bikes. I think the motorcycle cop is the ultimate traffic enforcement tool as far as regular people go. You get stopped, he puts the bike on the stand and strides towards you removing his gloves, Boy are you in it Our focus as far as traffic cars is ANPR driven, we have ANPR squads and therefore only have very limited "normal" Traffic, so the bikes are a luxury. We have new powers of removal for no insurance and driving licence offences. That with the new insurance and driving licence data bases mean we tow loads of vehicles daily. And Guy I see your "toads" are haphazard. I line mine all up in rows, perhaps my sons autism is genetic and not just a result of prematurity
  5. Looks good, I see you have Ventura bike pack rails mounted, how do you find the system? Do you mount the rack facing forward over the pillion seat? To do so do you take the cowl off? Or do you you have it facing backwards? Do you carry a pilion if you do it this way? If no pilion and facing backwards does it put too much weight rearwards? Have you tried two packs back to back? Any pics in tour mode?
  6. Archimedean screw? Sorry Devils Advocate
  7. As it's a viscosity thread can we call you a "thicko" No I didn't think so I've put allsorts in. depends what I can get hold of. In the hand book they have the usual chart and unless you live either in the Artic or Equator any thing seems acceptable. I spent ages trying to find the approved grades and spent sleepless nights worrying about the 10w40 I've had to put in. and the occasional blink of the oil light. But she keeps chugging on despite my best maintance efforts.
  8. Sounds about right provided: You tried more than one pump to check that pump not us You weren't trying to pit leaded in, noseles are wider You took the fuel cap off There's not something stuffed down the hole Natural Justice for buying a Punto Can't she fill her own car up. My stepmother never filled up her last car, a good trick if you don't run a joint account

  13. Nice pics - leads to the question WHY? Haven't we seen more of Jediones bike before. Jedione Please submit it with a run down for bike of the month looks [Herr Flick accent] very interesting[comedy accent off] http://www.scripps.edu/~dlaing/emf/rally/r...ges/Image7.html
  14. Ventura makes of the bike pack system also do plastic lens guards
  15. The two fuel lines have quick connect fittings. The approved method is to push together to take up the slack and then pull apart. Mine didn't quite work out this way and by using an open ended spanner I was able to put a touch of leverage which ment they just popped straight off. If you do a search you should find a couple of threads including one with pictures of the underside of the fuel pump. You need to make sure that they go back on fully, there has been one reported case where ones popped of in use There are also two electrical connector blocks, to do first, and when the tanks 1/2 up one or two breather hoses that push on to nipples ion the underside of the tank
  16. Bling
  17. Try this thread Bling and do try and pop in more often
  18. I've put my leave request in, should be granted, the numbers look good but it all depends on how far behind they are (still awaiting reply for application submitted 5th for the German trip). I'll be fitting in next years Round Britain Rally at the same time again, So early starts for me and should be at the hotel about 8pm. Anyone is welcome to join me but I will have my agenda. Chris is correct about the roads, it's well worth making the trip.
  19. I had to use it when my rear shock broke, but I was at home and in the UK. So it would seem that the mechanisum is in place, but obviously can't say how it applies to your side of the pond. Having said that I also have personal motoring breakdown cover, and I extended that to cover my trips abroad - abit of belt and braces and also confidence in all things Guzzi administrife (sic)

  24. That will be the GRIGIO TITANIUM Lemans with tank bag and panniers and wobbly exhausts Though the wobbly exhaust issue might be fixed used bits of hack saw blade inserted under the clamping bands to tighten down on. Perhaps you can advise me if it still wobbles over the weekend 9-11 June ERIN 06
