Just wanted to share my recent success story. I have a 2003 V11 with Giannelli exhaust and K&N pods. The bike suffered from the proverbial "cough" at low RPM's. Nothing of consequence, just annoying (and apparently common). I knew there were some horse power being left on the table w/o the power commander (or alternative). So, I bit the bullet and installed one (PCIII USB). WOW! It's night and day. I love it! No cough. More power. I used the stock map from the Powercommander website: 706-502 "European model, Giannelli slip-on's, and stock or aftermarket airfilter" Seemed like a good place to start, coonsidering... Looks like it was close to perfect. I still have some testing to do (and I have not used a dyno), but I am very happy with the initial results.

My 2004 V11 Le-Mans had the usual Guzzi cough and stuttered and stammered around 2500 rpm so bought a Power Commander from Todd at Guzzi Tech. The PC arrived with a map Todd had installed after i told him of the bikes mods...K+N air filter, Mistral end cans and modded air box. I set the valve clearances and balanced the throttle bodies before hand. Plugged in the PC and an adapter for the lambda probe and heypresto!!! Instant cure to all my woes.. The bike runs smoothly now with no cough or stutter at all, also pulls very cleanly up to the red line instead of running out of breath about 7000rpm. So now my black Italian babe not only looks fantastic, sounds superb and goes like shit of a highly polished chrome shovel... Thanks Todd..
