Martenni Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 Hi All Have to report the first failure on my Tenni, the honeymoon is over i guess. At 2300m the rear wheel bearing[disc side] failed i was alerted to it by drive train chatter like you get if riding at too high a gear at low speeds ,anyway although the bike is in warranty[2months old] the supplying dealer is about to close down and the next nearest is about an hour away so i did it my self, the new bearings came from a local supplier cost£25 for the pair.Ive done 100miles tonight down to poole and all seems ok but i will probably buy a couple of spares and maybe that Apriala moded gearbox spring, just in case. Regards Martin ............................. Tenni 165 old 950
Baldini Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 Martenni, What is the modified(?) gearbox spring you mention? Thanks, KB, Mid Wales.
Martenni Posted June 17, 2003 Author Posted June 17, 2003 Hi The gearbox shift return spring that often breaks.Aprilia have an upgraded one available but you have to ask for it specificaly utherwise you will just get another inferior spring from Guzzi. Regards Martin ............................ Tenni 165 old 950
Baldini Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 Thanks Martin, Do you have a part number? Do you know of a UK dealer with the modded spring in stock? Cheers, KB.
