Guest russ Posted June 19, 2003 Posted June 19, 2003 Heard about these and think they may be just the ticket to reduce vibes in my clipons (Verlicchi's) Has anyone used them? Curiously, there is no pic anywhere on their website? Hmmmm...... Before I spend a whopping $24.00 I thought I'd ask.
Guest Jaap Posted June 19, 2003 Posted June 19, 2003 What are bar snakes? I have a mental picture of a sleezy womanizing bar type, but that is obviously not what you mean.
Guest russ Posted June 19, 2003 Posted June 19, 2003 They are a item that you thread in your handlebars to soak up vibration. Helps with the numb hands on long rides.....alledgedly
Paul Minnaert Posted June 19, 2003 Posted June 19, 2003 I ride now without, and feel no difference. What they can do, is change the frequence where the bars wib, and that can be better, But depends on the weight, the handlebar strenght and lenght, and the frequency(revs) that need to be filtered out. So it depends on a lot of variables if it works for you. They will lower the frequency where you have the problem.
jrt Posted June 19, 2003 Posted June 19, 2003 A handful of lead shot would be just as effective and a lot cheaper. Not real environmentally sound if you crash, so don't crash. Cheers, Jason
