Guest Nogbad Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Dear all, I have really enjoyed owning my V11, and indeed still do, but the time has come to part company. Unfortunately with the pressures of running my own business I am maybe only doing 6000 or so bike miles a year, and splitting this between two bikes isn't really making financial sense. Two lots of insurance, tax etc. Also, I need to force myself to ride the XB even when it isn't bone dry and perfect weather. At the moment, the slightest hint of rain and I'm jumping on the guzzi...... Also, I find the V11 and the XB are very similar bikes to ride in many ways, so I am not getting a diverse biking experience. So, I am not concerned to get the best price I can for her, I would rather she go to someone who will love and appreciate the good bike that she is. This bike has never been unreliable, has had all the recall work done, and has had frequent oil and filter changes. She is a green 2000 (X) short frame greenie, fitted with a motomecca flyscreen and rack. All is original, unmolested and unbodged. Mileage is 12000 and the tyres have done 1000 (F) and 4000 ®, the rear is about half gone. I am a sedate and sensible rider so the bike has never been dropped or thrashed, and has not done any trackdays. If you are interested, drop me a PM. Noggers

Noggers shouldn't this be in the classifieds? you should at least put a listing there as well.
badmotogoozer Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I see. Now that you've got your Hog and your shed, you've risen above us lowly Guzzista. Hope you can still find time for us wee folk. Rj
Guest Nogbad Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I see. Now that you've got your Hog and your shed, you've risen above us lowly Guzzista. Hope you can still find time for us wee folk. Rj It's not like that. I would love to keep both, but it really doesn't make sense for me right now. I think you have to be a "collector" and take pleasure just in having several bikes even if you don't use any one of them that much, and that's fine if you have the room to keep them all warm, dry and visible. I don't though, and I think I'm not really a collector of anything. So, I would rather sell the bike to someone else who will get pleasure from it. I am clearly not a bike polygamist. I shall still hang around the board though.
DeBenGuzzi Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I shall still hang around the board though phew!, well then by all means sell away, I don't care, whatever. I plan to have 2 bikes and make it work, eventually three when I get a dual sport but then after some time I'll sell two of those keep the guzzi and get a harley, hey everyone has different plans and maybe someday you'll find a new guzzi that cranks your turn to be fair its is FAR cheaper to have multi bikes in the US, taxes are $14.50 a year here in MN and my insurance is $150 a year (I was told I Can get any bike I want for that money except a harley, there was much rejoicing!) but my out of pocket for a second bike will be far less than yours I assume.
Guest ratchethack Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I shall still hang around the board though. That's fine, then. We all need y'er friendly reminders that the Grim Reaper stalks us all! But Noggy -- you'll be forfeiting y'er chance to graduate up to "Guzzichondriac" status! Perhaps you'll become a Buellichondriac?!
dlaing Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 But Noggy -- you'll be forfeiting y'er chance to graduate up to "Guzzichondriac" status! But he gets the honor of being labled a Guzziphobe Just kidding!!!! We know he likes Guzzis. Second place in his heart is still good enough for booty calls, if he finds such an opportunity. I know I would not mind a periodic one day stand with a Buell
