BrianG Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I don't know what these stupid insurance companies are up to here in Canada, but they are basing the cost of insurance on the PRICE WHEN NEW, for motorcycles. I imported my USED 2000 V-11 Sport from the USA, so I have NO IDEA what the Price WHEN NEW might have been. Anyone know the answer to this? Even USA price might help!
wheelsucker Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I believe most of the stealerships were selling them for about $11,500 but you could probably get away with saying 11k.

Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I don't know what these stupid insurance companies are up to here in Canada, but they are basing the cost of insurance on the PRICE WHEN NEW, for motorcycles. Here in BC you state the value of your bike and that is what it is insured for but the premium is also based on that as well. I know Alberta has changed a lot (it used to be great for insurance) but I didn't know it was that bad. Do they think everyone has their own oil well? Cheers Jim
