wildbill Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 Slow oil drip from my shifter has appeared, could it be the tranny seal? the bike is still under warranty, is it an involved fix? thanks all...
Guest russ Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 Shifter bushings are known to wear out but not sure that it would cause the leak. Either way, a fairly simple fix for your dealer.
mikie Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 I just had the same problem fixed under warranty. At first it was thought to be the tranny seal, as I was told that Guzzi used inferior sealant and it's a common problem. When they started working on it, though, they discovered a faulty bolt was the cause, so one was ordered, and now the leak is gone. Good luck.
Baldini Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 Is the oil leak from around the gearchange shaft where it goes into the selector cover? There's a slight weep there on my 02 Scura (2,500m). The gearchange shaft is rusting where it goes thru the seal.... Which bushings do you mean Russ? I see no bushings... Faulty bolt...???
