I am finding that the shop manual is pretty lousy. Is there a step by step explaination of throttle sync and tps adjustment somewhere?

Try this: http://home.pacbell.net/guzzi007/tps/TPS.html

It's for the Sport 1100i but should be close enough to

totally confuse the isssue.

Unfortunally, or fortunally rather since it is a lot simpler, our bikes are very different then V1100 i. You have to notice first of all that the computer (ECU) is Weber 15 M and not an old Weber 16 M anymore and this in itself is a world of a difference.

I will not attempt to elaborate anymore since most of what I know is in an excellent factory Shop Manual anyway.

To do these things you need an excellent fuel injection software which will enable you to obtain trouble codes, monitor all the sensors, record data and adjust the fuel trim. The software manual will give you all the answers.

I have a shop manual but dont know if its the factory one or not. I cant find anything on the tps or throttle sync.

The original question was regarding TPS adjustment and throttle body synching. These are almost generic for the FI Guzzis, except the Quota. The computer references are useless for the V11's of course, but the TPS and synching techniques should be valid or at least very indicative of how to approach that task.

Well, take a look at http://home.pacbell.net/guzzi007/tps/TPS.html anyway.

At the bottom of the page there are some pictures excerpted from the

Sport 1100i Owners Manual. Maybe that will help.
