I just bought the bar riser kit from MPH, are they easy to install, or should I take it to a shop. I have decent mechanical skill and a buddy who is willing to help, should I give it a go?

Hey Eric,

Go ahead it's quite easy. I just put a set on my LeMans. Once you remove your gas tank and air box, the installation it is straight forward and the parts fit well. Sometimes manual bleeding of the hydraulics is difficult. I do have a vacuum bleeder though which makes quick work of it. Some have had good luck with speed bleeders.

Good luck.

I decided to make my own.

Everything is made of aluminum 6061T6, except for the bar end weights which is brass. It's made up of a stub, riser, and bar - held together with 2 screws 1/4-28. I could not afford to use helicoil at this moment since it is just a working prototype. The bar end weight is optional.

Feel free to criticize my design.

Thanks for any input you may have.
