Guest Eric123 Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 I just bought the bar riser kit from MPH, are they easy to install, or should I take it to a shop. I have decent mechanical skill and a buddy who is willing to help, should I give it a go?

Once you remove your gas tank and air box, the installation it is straight forward and the parts fit well. Sometimes manual bleeding of the hydraulics is difficult. I do have a vacuum bleeder though which makes quick work of it. Some have had good luck with speed bleeders. Good luck.
Guest h8chains Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 I decided to make my own. Everything is made of aluminum 6061T6, except for the bar end weights which is brass. It's made up of a stub, riser, and bar - held together with 2 screws 1/4-28. I could not afford to use helicoil at this moment since it is just a working prototype. The bar end weight is optional. Feel free to criticize my design. Thanks for any input you may have.
