Crooz Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 Avon UK production championship - Roy Armstrong (?) late seventies...77? US Endurance championship (Dr John's bike) - early 80's KB Looks like YOU stand corrected! Also... go to most motorcycle websites and search for Guzzi Le Mans photo's or parts... they are listed under the category of 'Sportsbike'.
rocker59 Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 If you look at Guzzi history you will find most of the bikes with names are all after famous road races that Guzzi participated in before 1957 "Most" of Guzzi's races were wond prior to 1957, also. LeMans and Daytona are worthy names for the bikes to which they are applied...
savagehenry Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 "Most" of Guzzi's races were wond prior to 1957, also. LeMans and Daytona are worthy names for the bikes to which they are applied... Practice ANY European accent, get CLOSE enough to say (relatively smoothly), "2004 V11 Lay Maw Nero Coarse-eh" Now look around the room, tell me the chicks aren't diggin' YOU. ...Oh Yeaaaaa .... .... then I start runnin' down a whole tech list of stuff, and it just glazes 'em over....
macguzzi Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Have you ever heard of sarcasim, your talking to a long time Guzzi expert, I suggest you go and read Moto Guzzi a racing history by mick walker "Most" of Guzzi's races were wond prior to 1957, also. LeMans and Daytona are worthy names for the bikes to which they are applied... The clue is before 1957
