only thing I worry about is finding a new band as nice as the one it comes with, when I wear it out in 10-15 thousand miles

Not to worry, You can order a new original strap from me or any local Junkers Watch retailer.

A watch question:

Can riding all day damage a watch?

Not just the Guzzi watch but any watch with a mechanical movement.

In my experience it all depends on the build quality and the mechanism as well.

To me it sounds unlikely to happen to a watch with ETA mechanism.

My Breitlings serve me at all day activities all time I have rode the bike without the slightest problem.

And have gotten hard use.

:2c: You can mostly worry about a watch if you hit with it somewhere and gets a shock.

Anything you'll want to do on a road bike should be perfectly OK for your ETA powered watch.

There's a few bike related things I recommend you should'nt do while wearing a mechanical watch:

- Hard core off road riding

- Using a rattle gun

- Using the two largest hammers in your collection

In general I'll always take off my watch before I'll do any kind of spannering, but that's just because I dont want to scratch my watch - and I tend to forget this quite often :homer:

Bottom line is that the Guzzi watch is a very reliable and mature mechanical item - as long as you dont do something really stupid, you dont have to worry about it.

You can do better than that, don't be afraid , others will pay, shoot a good one.!!

Happy to help Alex. Aside from the usual chemical suspects you could:

- Buy a house ('nuff said)

- Take up a sport (scuba, kiteboarding & golf all require expensive equipment and you can keep upgrading every year)

- Buy a boat. (really 'nuff said)

- Keep a BMW on the road (parts ouch$$$).

OR

Have some kids.

Well, here I am, new member of the "watch club"

Just got today, I can definitely go on holidays...

Thanks to Jens and Goffredo for this small beauty.

I spend some efforts some time ago to find a new automatic watch to replace my Granfather's old Zenith (too precious and delicate to wear it everyday now) and the best solution was just round the corner of my two-wheels passion! :D

,

I sell some of the houses I bought earlier now, A boat is a good idea though. My goal is to reach enough amount and get enough stocks on Guzzi to tell them what to produce, but that's rather a dream

Cheers Zen :bier::bier::bier:

Have to find a woman first for the kids, well that's and idea I can think of well.
