RichPugh Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 I saw a Corbin seat on eBay once that was custom made with a silver rear portion to custom match what would have assumingly been the rear seat cowl cover but I dont want to loose the rear seat cowl cover. Are there any more comfortable seats out there that allow the retaining of the rear seat cowl cover? The attachment I found online (possibly here?) so I was wondering if this seat is a comfort improvement and where it might be available?
Guest ratchethack Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Are there any more comfortable seats out there that allow the retaining of the rear seat cowl cover? Rich, here's an option for adding comfort that I highly recommend from personal experience: http://www3.telus.net/Habitat_Farm/bikeseat.htm Thread including a review of the "prototype" made for a stock seat here (see post #12 in the thread): http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11591#
stogieBill Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Rich, There's always Rich Maund. See http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10430 He can work with any specific color combos you're interested in. Does absolutely brilliant work for a fair price. And he's in Chesapeake. My cowl still fits perfectly.
jrt Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 +1 for Rich Maund. Excellent work. For long rides, I still use a sheepskin.
Woodburn Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Hi RichPugh, That's my bike you have pictured there. It is a Rich Maund seat rebuild. He did a beautiful job and it is significantly more comfortable than stock. He gives you a choice of vinyl patterns, colors and textures to choose from. I went with the less popular non-shiny finish for the side portions in an attempt to match the existing matte black areas of the bike, like the tank pad. Turned out perfect! -Mike
