Guest Windsor Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 For Sale: 1997 Moto Guzzi Daytona RS One of approx. 34 in the US, 1 of about 200 ever made. Probably the fastest production street legal Guzzi ever made. I’m the 3rd owner; 1st owner was a Colorado Guzzi dealer. He put ~ 2200 miles on it. The second owner was a bike collector, he bought it in 2000 and put ~ 60 miles on it. I bought it later the same year and put 15000 miles on it over the last 7 years, for a total 17,XXX miles. Never raced, never down. A few very small (pencil-dot) sized chips in the paint in the usual places on the front of the bike and the original powder coating on the wheels is typical poor quality (chips easily and stains from brake cleaner). No other cosmetic issues and no mechanical issues. Upgrades & extras: • Heli bars • Euro headlight switch • Oil line recall done • Front brake line replaced (stock one touched dash board when locking forks and would eventually cause dash board mounting grommets to fail) + stock brake line • Diff vent kit + catch bottle (see orange cap in photo under passenger seat)+ stock cap • Mistral x-over + mufflers + stock system • K&N individual air filters + stock system • Front axle nut (that you can use a normal wrench on) + stock • New CORRECT rear disk & pads (Original disk available-wrong disk came on bikes from factory, had incorrect swept area on one side, resulting in eventual disk warpage) • Fin guards • Creedon chip + stock • Power Commander (new in box, never installed) • Factory Service manual • Factory parts manual • Factory owners handbook • Spare OE key • Factory service tools: o Pulley/pump wrench o Cam pulley wrench o Belt tensioner o Puller o Spline holder • Spare clutch & throttle cables • Plugs • Oil filter • Belts • Misc. seals & gaskets • Touch up paint Full records, regularly serviced, just tuned up (engine oil/filter, tranny & diff oil, new back tire, drive shaft lube, valves adjusted, injectors synched, air filters serviced, new rear disk), runs great, needs nothing. $11,500 firm. Thanks for looking, Windsor
