turo Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 My name is John Palmieri, and I am looking for a Guzzi Mentor. Someone who could help learn the proper maintenance of my 2003 Rosso Corsa. I'd like to be able to learn how to do all the full service items listed in the owners manual and also fine tune the bike adjusting the tps, throttle bodies and idle screws! I had the great pleasure of working with Bob Skakun in NJ, who's a genius! NJ is just too far from Worcester, Massachusetts where I live. Anybody local interested? I'll buy the beer and hey riding buddies please also apply:) Thanks!
JoeV11 Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Hi John I think we met at the IMOC. I live about 45 min from Worcester, and also would be interested in finding someone that could show me how to do the big tuning improvements some people talk about on this forum. Maybe a group of us could get together for a tune-up day? When I had my old Corvette, there was a guy from out west that would do performance tuneups for any group that would fly him out, buy beer and put him up. Maybe there is a Guzzi expert like that? Joe
Tom M Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Hi John, We met at IMOC last year. I'm certainly no ace mechanic but I've done a bit of wrenching on my V11 without screwing it up (yet), but I haven't done the TB balance yet. I'd be happy to help where I can. I'm about a half hour away from Worcester. Feel free to give me a shout if you want a hand with anything.
waspp Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Hey John, There a several good Gussista over that way maybe try the Yahoo forum from the MA Guzzi site. I've done most everything on my bikes, TPS, TB balance, suspenion setup etc and so far good success. If your mechanically inclined the info here on the board is great and help is nearby. Glad to help with what I know. Also there is ride Saturday starting in Great Barington and headed up my way, ulimatly on Mt Equinox for the dead engines race. Search the New England meet thread for details. Hal
