Hi folks! 30.6.2007 I have crashed my V11 Le Mans badly injuring my left leg. I am not and I am not going to be able to pull my left leg comfortably on the shifter. So, I am installing new handlebars etc to raise the body position. I can pull my knee asi far as 90 degrees, to comfortably position on V11 I need at least turn of 130-140° degrees, but unfortunatelly, for some time I will not able to do that...

So, has anybody done this before? I am putting down the fairing, wide handlebars from Ballabio. What I need is to move footrests about let say 5-10 cm backwards.

Any advices? Any helps?

Thanks a lot for any tips.

Sorry to hear of your crash and injury, Slavek. Have you tried adjusting the angle of the shift lever? It's adjustable within a range before it makes contact with the "pork chop" casting below, and the starter motor above via the linkage adjustment provided for the purpose. If you reposition the shift arm on the transmission by as much as one spline, the shift lever will make contact with the "porkchop" on downshift. I would certainly entertain the option of using the linkage adjustment before consideration of moving the footpegs -- unless you are determined to change all the ergo's anyway, which seems likely by your post. In this case, you will be adjusting the shift linkage rod anyway.

Good luck. :mg:

What about the 'Motobits' from Moto International? Do a search for Moto Bits or MotoBits (sorry- don't remember the spelling). I couldn't find any pictures yet (and I have to run, soon).

They might or might not be the ticket, but they move the foot position down and forward.

If you don't want to move the foot position forward, but do want it backwards, then make up a kit like what Evoluzione used to sell. There's some pictures in this thread:

Here is the link. I can also supply pictures of the left side.

I'm not sure if I understand which direction you need to move your footrests. I think you want to not bend your knees as far.

For that, I supply a kit, MGC-S10 to move the footrests and levers forward 14 cm and down 4 cm. If that will help you send me a personal message, and I will supply pictures, etc. You can also review the "forward foot position" thread in the Technical section for pictures and positive reports by other users.

Hope you feel better soon.

I use the vario adjustable foot pegs by MFW on my 2000 sport. Very nice. The one for a ducati monster fits perfectly. The pegs give about 1" extention in a number of directions, up,down, back forward etc.. It does move the foot out some .I spacered out the shifter rubber and used a longer bolt. they really are nice. The owner at urotech is also very helpfull . http://www.eurotechmotorsports.com/ Good luck!! Alan

I heard from Slavomir. He has had two operations and will be out of commission for some time. If it's anything like my knee operations, he will have some tough physical therapy to go through. The good news is it sounds like he can expect full recovery, and still looking forward to getting back on the road.
