DeBenGuzzi Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Why does it seem like everything from upgrades to flashy unessicary items are being made, fabricated or mass produced in Germany? my friend rides a 675, my Aprilia and even here on the Guzzi realm anything crazy/outlandish/cool seems to be getting fabricated in Germany, are they really that bored?? wth, this may be a dumb question but everywhere I look it seems like it leads back to Germany. Why didn't I take German in school? life would be a lot easier for me now I bet the hoff has something to do with this.
Guest Nogbad Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Chill DeBen. Buy German with confidence in the knowledge that it is not Chinese.

jrt Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I'm conjecturing here, but I think a lot of Germans have pride in their history of engineering and fabrication skills. Plus, they have a decent educational system, so they produce intelligent citizens (mostly) that can take advantage of that pride. edit- nevermind. I see my theory has already been proposed.

DeBenGuzzi Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 Simple Germans love Motorcycles and computers and message boards and designing games, I swear in Germany everyone must have a CNC machine in their kitchen next to the toaster under the hasselhoff calender.
Guzzi2Go Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 However, be aware that they cannot fling any of this "cool stuff" in Germany, 'cause TÜV won't let them put it on their bikes. So they export...
mdude Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Vorsprung durch technik. Need I say more. You must be referring to the Four Sprung Duck Technique, an ancient way of jumpstarting your Audi.... Seriously: Germany has an unemployment rate that goes straight through the roof, and all those skilled guys made redundant from the automotive and hitech industries have to try to make a living. So there's a huge number of small specialist producers because of that. Good for us, a struggle for them.
tikkanen Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 You must be referring to the Four Sprung Duck Technique, an ancient way of jumpstarting your Audi.... TÜV (MOT) rules are pretty strict but the Germans, in general, don't give a toss. I've seen a lot of German riders with all the goodies one can imagine. Furthermore German craftmanship is highly renowned so let's just enjoy all the gadgets they produce Søren
