Alex-Corsa Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 A very nice video from my friend Jim, displaying balls of Guzzi sound...Really reminds me of a plane Admire or worship , it;s up to you Guess the exhaust and crossover. Please !!Hehehe Antonio here you are
DeBenGuzzi Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 OK that sounds a LOT like mine BUT that is MUCH louder, like rediculous loud. damn kids.
v50man Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Methinks that sound could only be produced by a set of Bub Bad Dogs modified to fit the V11.
Alex-Corsa Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 Methinks that sound could only be produced by a set of Bub Bad Dogs modified to fit the V11. What is Bub Bad dogs ?
v50man Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Bub is an American exhaust company that mostly specializes in loud pipes for Harleys. They used to make pipes for Moto Guzzi, BMW and Bennelli (6 into 6!!!) as well. The "Bad Dogs" were "shorties" with only minimal internal baffling. I had a set on my Centauro, and they were as LOUD as anything I ever heard on a Guzzi. Quite beautiful music nonetheless. I LOVED them. I have seen pics of these pipes adapted to fit V11s on this site a while back. Anyway, I'm obviously WRONG in my guess. I'll even try to look ashamed... What is Bub Bad dogs ?
Skeeve Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Guess the exhaust and crossover. Please !!Hehehe O.K., I'll bite: Stock x-over, w/o any mufflers. Basically, almost a 2->1 w/ straight pipes. If that's wrong, I'll try plan B: reverse cone megaphones w/ a Stucchi...

Ballacraine Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 To my mind that just sounds & performs like he took the cans off. Sounds flat rather than crisp and doesn't seem to pull. More work needed! Nige.

Steve G. Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Perhaps the mapping of the PCIII need some work. There are exhausts and crossover on the bike a very well known brand......OK I told you know; I'm sorry guys, but I think it sounds like an uncorked Harley, obnoxious, unsophisticated. There are some beautiful systems available for the V11 based bikes, with beautiful melodic sounds, without pissing people off. This sounds like it would piss people off! Ciao, Steve

Ciao, Steve Mine redlines at 8K... why does he keep shifting at 6? The best sounds are from 5-8K....
Alex-Corsa Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 Anyways the exhaust system is a MISTRAL,(with carbon Ovals open exhaust) perhaps the camera doesn't get the exact sound .
g.forrest Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 well it always sounds better at night ! don't it.
