stogieBill Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Given that I'd do most anything to experience that kind of speed/thrill; its not hard to understand what gives us bikers a similar (but very different) kind of thrill. Thanks for the link
Zoom Zoom Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Very enjoyable. Thanks for the link! Zoom Zoom, John Henry
Guest george in vancouver Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 That's great On an August morning in 1978, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris. http://bhendrix.com/wall/Gmaps_GVideo_Mashup_Rendezvous.html
macguzzi Posted October 18, 2007 Author Posted October 18, 2007 It has recently been admitted that this was not any kind of sports car I think it was a puegot that the camera was attached to then the film was speeded up to give the impression of speed.

Still a pretty good job of editing. Most of the ancillary stuff (pedestrians, turn signals on other vehicles, pigeons) does not seem to be moving terribly fast as it would in sped up film. The motor sounds fit too.
macguzzi Posted October 18, 2007 Author Posted October 18, 2007 Motor was dubbed in later check it out, a family saloon driven early in the morning
