one plate or two

hey yall

i am new member just bought 2001 v11 sport 10-12-07

is it a single plate clutch and should it sound different than a ev 11

A 2001 could be either. If a Rosso Mandello, it came with a single-plate clutch. If not a Rosso, it came with a dual-plate clutch. What it has now I could not tell you. Yes it will rattle when you pull in the lever.

IT HAS A KNOCKING NOISE WHEN I RELEASED IT WHEN YOU RELEASE THE LEVER IN NEUTRAL.

WHICH MY EV DOES NOT DO

BOUT HAD A HEART ATTACK CAUSE I JUST KNEW IT WAS A ROD KNOCKING.

I JUST BOUGHT THE BIKE YESTERDAY..

I GUESS IT JUST SOUNDS DIFFERENT THAT THE EV11

WHEN CLUTCH IS RELEASED.

I just had to change out my clutch plates they had seperated and it was sounding odd but not knocking. It was the clutch engagement was like it was two stage. As the lever was let out it would start to move then stop as the lever was fully released

it would go. how meny miles on the bike?
