dangerous Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 04 V11 corsa @ 23,000km... ok so it has devloped a bad miss (similer to what they all do at 2800rpm) under 5grand not as bad over 4k rpm. I can here the engine often back breathing and hissing and a heavy knock when back firing under slow excelaration, the bike is back firing a lot, not loud but wee crackels (after market pipes but not loud) sometime you get this with a leak in the pipes but Im all good. WHAT ya all reckon my problem is?
docc Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 First thing check for a loose or leaking intake rubber. After that you might want to join the relay club . . .
dangerous Posted November 5, 2007 Author Posted November 5, 2007 First thing check for a loose or leaking intake rubber. After that you might want to join the relay club . . . yeah ta Ill check the intake rubbers... Ive been there done the relay thing with both Guzzi's, thats not my problem. What are the symptoms of this TPS that I here about? could this be the problem?
docc Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 I did see one V11 do this until a good tune-up was performed. The owner swore it had already been done, but afterwards it cleared up his misfire.
dangerous Posted November 14, 2007 Author Posted November 14, 2007 Sorted turns out the problem was the injection units being out of wack, reset and alls good.
dangerous Posted November 14, 2007 Author Posted November 14, 2007 Injection units "reset?" How so? Duno just picked the bike up at 8:30 pm from the shp and bolted, off in a sec to the national Buell rally with the missus. From the little he said when I jumped on and did a runner the units wernt in sinc wit each other, tell ya what it runs beter than it ever has... ill find out more when I pay the bill after the w/e away.
Guest Phil_P Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Sounds like the throttle bodies have been balanced.
