Ryland3210 Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 Hi Kevin, Elite Tours was at the NY MC show last weekend, touting their guided tours of the Moab region. KTM's provided, but pretty pricey. Do you have any comment on whether it make sense to book a tour with them, or are there bike rentals available?
Ryland3210 Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 There are street legal enduro bike rentals available that I saw. One place on the N end of town, W side, rents Hondas. Fred at Arrowhead Motorsports could point you in a good direction as far as roads. He offered to lead us around on our next visit. Perhaps his website does as well. From my experience, the "Adventure Tour" bikes aren't going to get you very far around Moab, as it's pretty extreme offroading. I'm sure there are exceptions, as always. Fred may have other ideas about where to rent a bike also. Most folks hauled their own bikes there, even road riders. I would say weigh your pocketbook against your schedule and inclination to do a little independent planning/investigation. Personally, I don't have the same experience when someone else leads me around. Thanks for the tips, Kevin, and fantastic pictures.
