dhansen Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Too c-c-c-c-c-cold out to even think about motorcycles so I suppose it's time for another quiz....... The usual, Type, displacement and year.

Guest Nogbad Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 I'm sure we have had this one before......... but I can't remember what it turned out to be.
dhansen Posted January 28, 2008 Author Posted January 28, 2008 Rumi Guessing at 1960 / 250cc Hmmmmmmm, not Rumi.
DeBenGuzzi Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 looks like a custom of two engines mated together, this might be a a lil hard I'm sure mac's just waiting for the last few minutes before he swopes in with the answer.
macguzzi Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Well maybe not is it a four or twin plugged some sort of mad Lambretta experiment or just a mad experiment, Aerrmachi
mike wilson Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 "The very successful twin cylinder 125cc led to the square four 250 Suzuki RZ 63, essentially two of the 125 engines coupled together. Known as ‘whispering death’ due to its ability to seize without warning, the 250 never finished higher than third throughout its career and the project was shelved." Hmmm?
macguzzi Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Suzuki RZ63-II 1963 Engine type: Air-cooled 247.32 cc four cylinder rotary valve 2-stroke. 52 ps/ 12.500 rpm. Bore x stroke: 43.0 x 42.6 mm Carburetor type: M24 Compression ratio: 8.8:1 Top speed: 225 kph Clutch type: Dry multiple plates Transmission: 6 gears Tyres: 2.75-18 / 3.00-18 Brake type (front): 2 drums, 1 cam Brake type (rear): 1 drum, 1 cam
DeBenGuzzi Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 so did mike get another billionth quiz point for this one? looks to be correct but only one person knows for sho.
mike wilson Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 I don't think I did. The chain is on the other side, there are frame gusseting differences; but it's a racing machine, so who the Hell knows? I was just going on the "whispering death" soubriquet. If anything ever looked like it would sieze at the hint of a cloud in the sky, that machine is it. The Jawa looks more like it but was only ever watercooled from what I can find out. Time to break out the book of Russian motorcycles.....
macguzzi Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Looks like a stumper, although it does look Italian
