Guzzirider Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Our usual travel agent who gets us cheaper ferry bookings is not able to give quotes at the moment for the Hull-Rotterdam crossing. Every UK based travel operator is quoting the same (very high) price. I just wondered if anyone could recommend an online booking service in the Netherlands for the same crossing- maybe its cheaper! Thanks Guy
antonio carroccio Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Guy, from Harwich is very cheap. From Hull it kosts for two person and a bike about 500,- Euro. Maybe Jaap will find something cheaper. Are you coming at th rally Boxmeer?
Slavomir Musilek (R.I.P.) Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 I would also ask for any help with booking a ferry for the V11 meeting Does anybody know the cheapest way how to get from old continent to UK? Via Calais or via Netherlands? Slavek
Admin Jaap Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 I think Calais-Dover is the cheapest/shortest. But then you have to ride all the way through England to get to the meeting in Scotland. A 2-way ferry with cabin and bike from IJmuiden (NL) to Newcastle is about € 300,-

Guzzirider Posted February 22, 2008 Author Posted February 22, 2008 Yes Antonio I am going to Boxmeer- then off to play in Europe for two weeks with some friends- maybe down to Austria and the Czech Republic. The Harwich sailing is much cheaper but we like to go from Hull if we can as its much nearer and we can go straight after work- I was wondering if there are any Dutch travel agents because I know you guys pay less than us for the same crossing. Cheers Guy

Guzzirider Posted February 24, 2008 Author Posted February 24, 2008 Ended up booking on the phone direct with P & O quoting "MCN discount" was much cheaper than prices advertised on the web.
