Scotch Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Anybody out there know what the plug is that goes to the TPS sensor? Mfg? Part number? etc? I have seen / heard all kinds of good ideas here on the forum about accessing the TPS to read the voltages, but I would love to make a set of male/female plugs with a break-out for the VOM that I could plug in when needed, and take off when not. Scott
Garsdad Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 I thought of that, too, and searched the web for connectors that would work. I found nothing suitable. I have to go to Cascade Moto Classics tomorrow for an upper sump gasket or two (finally installing my Roper plate) and I'll see what they can tell me. Garsdad

Paul Minnaert Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 I think the connector is a Metripack 3 way connector if this is what the tps is like: http://www.mmcompsys.com/download_zone/6_sensors/pf2c_01.pdf maybe this is something? http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com/perfo...x.html?item=923
Ryland3210 Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Somewhere in the threads there is the part number on the sensor. It is made by Magnetti Marelli Try searching that name. It is possible the mating connector is an off the shelf item at the auto parts retail stores.

Scott I like to use back probes. Slips past the weather pack with no wiring damage. Just pull them out when finished. http://www.ntxtools.com/network-tool-wareh...tc-3840-05.html
Scotch Posted February 28, 2008 Author Posted February 28, 2008 The best part about buying my Rosso Mandello in January is this Forum. I have posted a few questions so far and spent hours just browsing. I feel like half of an expert already and its my first Guzzi. Thanks for all the posts on the connectors - I knew this was the place to ask and I already see several probable answers, so instead of replying to each one - Thanks Scott
