Admin Jaap Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Got an e-mail this morning: Dear Mr. Administrator, TEXA S.p.A. of Italy is the official OEM Diagnostic Scan tool Supplier for Aprilia. Our company makes the Official scan tools for Aprilia, Moto-Guzzi and Benelli as well as for many other European Car Mfr's. My name is Art Chavez and I am the Technical Manager for the U.S. Branch of the company. We offer to the aftermarket a PC based diagnostic program that covers pretty much all Motorcycles worldwide. I would be very interested in setting up a demo for you, or sending you a demo unit to use so that we could get your opinion about what we have to offer for Moto Guzzi. Your feedback would be very informative for us and helpful as well. Currently the official workshops have access to the Axone2000 but now the aftermarket or DIY'er has the capability of obtaining the most advanced PC based Motorcycle program. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you may have. I have two files that came with the e-mail uploaded here and here. Please don't ask me any questions. I just forwarded it.

The advantage of buying the Texa package is that you get updates for *everything*. Since I'm extremely unlikely to ever work on anything other than Guzzis and my new Aprilia Mana when it arrives I have no need to buy the whole Texa box and dice but it IS a useful tool but it isn't a magic bullet and it won't get you the ECU codes. Pete
Bruce Reader Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 To those that are in the know. How much Jaap ? What can you do with it Pete ? Cheers Bruce
luhbo Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 .. The advantage of buying the Texa package is that you get updates for *everything*. ... Exactly my point. I wouldn't need more but access to the Weber-Marelli 15M, and then probably only for adjusting the idle CO - exactly what I've not seen in the Demo PDF. They probably claim a lot of money because of that huge lot of bikes they've included, if you need only one, will they give a huge discount? Hubert

The link to the second file at www.v11lemans.com/uploads/NavigatorTXBUSA.zip does not seem to work.
Admin Jaap Posted March 28, 2008 Author Posted March 28, 2008 The link to the second file at www.v11lemans.com/uploads/NavigatorTXBUSA.zip does not seem to work. I don't understand why, but if you right-click the link and use "Save target as..." it works! (In Firefox on Vista)
luhbo Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 What if you remove the blanks in the name? Are the rights properly set? Hubert
Admin Jaap Posted March 28, 2008 Author Posted March 28, 2008 Everything is set up okay. No spaces in file-name, CHMOD rights are set to 755. I just don't get it... There must be something in the zip file that causes this... Solved: Extracted the zip... there was only a PDF file in it. See attachment. NavigatorTXB_USA_.pdf
Admin Jaap Posted March 28, 2008 Author Posted March 28, 2008 How much Jaap ? As said in my starting post; Don't ask me anything. I just forward the e-mail
luhbo Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Thanks for your efforts, Jaap, the more as these files turned out to be quite standard in its contents. If this fellow wanted to sell something, he should come over first with readable files and second with a more brand specific and more precise offer or package. Hubert
