belfastguzzi Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Thia week MCN has a Ridden & Rated 24-page guide to every 2008 bike. It includes Guzzis of course. Even has some varieties we never knew about. In the Naked section, there are 2 Griso models listed, pictured, facted and figured. There's a Griso 8V that costs £8334. It has a capacity of 1064cc with 86bhp It's available in silver, apparently. The 'verdict' section says that the new 8V motor has the top end punch to invogourate its rider. That would be the 86bhp punch. Then there is a Griso 1200 It has a capacity of 1138cc with 95bhp It weighs the same as the 8v, at 227kg but unlike the 1200, the 8V is available in blue. The verdict on this model is that it has a lightly breathed-on version of the Breva motor and is very smooth for a low and long roadster. The, er, generally available, shop standard 1200-8v, which has 1151cc, isn't mentioned. There can only be one explanation. They must have been copying 'facts' of MG's website.

Or be totally uncaring about the exactitude of the infos ? Guzzi riders represents such a small fraction of their readers they may not care and think no one will notice. Heck, they already got they facts wrong all the time, why not on this ? (plus the fact that now infos are copy-and-paste from site to site, visordown>crash.net>superbikeplanet>some blog>back to visordown>Bikes>MCN...)
macguzzi Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Come on it's MCN they don't print facts it's purely a paper of fiction
