belfastguzzi Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 BFG, just pick any date and I'll show up! Thanks Jaap We'll stick with the 22-25 May weekend. There are pluses and minuses to having it on the Bank Holiday, but the big important plus is that it will make it easier for some people to take an extra day. If you are thinking of taking a longer holiday again at that time, the NW 200 roadraces may be on the previous Saturday. You could also have a good visit around Donegal. If so, I could also try to get some extra days off that week.
macguzzi Posted August 15, 2008 Author Posted August 15, 2008 Sounds good BFG we could do a tour of the old country my distant family come from Donegal
Guzzirider Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Nearly- isn't it time for Orkney dwellers to put some straw in a cardboard box and then hibernate for the winter, like the tortoise in Blue Peter?
Ballabio Bertie Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Its getting closer Guy... I hope BFG hasn't been affected by the flooding over in N.I.
belfastguzzi Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Its getting closer Guy... I hope BFG hasn't been affected by the flooding over in N.I. The Ulster Grand Prix at Dundrod had to be abandoned of course. This new £104 million road upgrade. through Belfast, is submerged under 20' of water. Road engineers, eh! This guy is standing on the roof of his car. I really think that we have as much chance of summer weather in May next year, as we have in 'the summer'.
Guzzirider Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 The Ulster Grand Prix at Dundrod had to be abandoned of course. Have they never heard of jet skis?????
belfastguzzi Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Have they never heard of jet skis????? Funnily enough, the place where I bought my Griso sells jet skis. There's foresight for you.
Ballabio Bertie Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Jet skis?We dont need no stinkin' jet skis......
David Graham Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Hello BFG and All. Of course Im up for that. Recent April/May time has been the best of the weather and Im sure some of us local chaps can come up with a few ideas. Dave.
antonio carroccio Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Alright, I have got a SMS from Guzzirider this weekend from the Guzzi meeting in the UK. I suppose it's pretty boring there. He has got the time to SMS me not one but a couple of a time. The SMS sounds like....... ...and some more....... Pretty boring, isn't it?
Guzzirider Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Hi Antonio- it was not a Guzzi rally- but there were a group of Guzzisti who went. We visited this place yesterday for lunch in a sleepy Lincolnshire hamlet- stayed a few hours- a complete pie experience- maybe you need to be English to understand the wonder of the pie. PJ's Pie Pub Apologies for the drunken text! Guy
antonio carroccio Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 I didn't say in public any drunk txt on the SMS I have got... Next time you hit the continent, get to visit me. I have got a lot of meat for the BBQ and you didn't show up <_> ......................... just kidding
antonio carroccio Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Plaese, should be possible having the exact date and place of this meeting 2009? I would not know yet, but there is a little chance I shall show up in Ireland. 22-25 may 2009? Place? Camping? Room? ....?
