Just lately my 2000 V11 seems to have lost it's pep. Used to surprise me sometimes when I wound it on and it really shifted. Now it's just a bit 'flat' if you know what I mean.

Not very technical or specific sorry. Maybe I've eaten one too many pies?

Any thoughts?

Look, it could be anything! If it's lost it's Zing though the obvious first step would be to give it a tune up!

Then fit an orgone accumulator and check out the henweigh. From there on in it would probably be best to get a Crystal Therapist to have a look at it

vigor vim vitality and punch

the ability to act on a sudden hunch

nerve to tackle the hardest thing

feet that climb and hands that cling

a heart that never forgets to sing

that's pep (3 times)

sand and grit in a concrete base

a friendly smile on an honest face

a spirit that helps when another's down

knows how to scatter the blackest frown

love's it's neighbor love's it's town

that's pep (4 times)

say "i will" for you know you can

look for the best in every man

meet each thundering knockout blow

come back with a smile 'cause you know

you get the best of the whole damn show

that's pep (6 times)

you know thats pep

Pete

I heard my name mentioned. -_-

The man's bike needs a black opal on the left and a rose quartz on the right, both mounted on the upper triple clamp, and a tune-up!!! :D

After mounting the Crystals, start with valves, insert new spark plugs, then set the TPS, balance the TBs, go for a ride, smile :D and send a donation to the forum Admin mentioning how valuable it is to have free Crystal Therapy available online. ;)

But you can skip the rocks and go right to the tune up and you will get roughly the same result :bike:

No use to me those replies but very entertaining.

I'll change the plugs actually. Bike's running rich as it happens.

Well if it's running rich, then that's where your zip went! When's the last time you changed the air filter? Sounds like a TPS recalibration may be in your future...

Could be that the temp sensor is faulty so the ecu's "choke" is always on ?

That's interesting actually. It's just had an air filter so it's not that I suppose but I am interested in the idea that the choke might be on. By the way, it returns a regular 38 to 40mpg (UK gallon).

I'll find and check the sensor.

didn't think these had any kind of "choke" I know my 2000 is just a high idler and not a choke but a fresh set of plugs and checkment of tb's then maybe go with a fresh tune.

just pour this all over the bike and all will be fine

don't worry baby you'll get your mojo back

your right there isn't a "choke" but "the ECU's cold start enrichment" takes longer to type

So, you already tried the quick tune up of valve adjustment, TPS setting, throttle body balance and it is still running weak?

Then I would check air filter as Skeeve suggested.

I can't get no, Satisfaction

Lazy fingers!

But good point about the sensor.

As you probably know, some pack the sensor housing with conductive grease to help transmit the engine heat to the sensor.

Also, the sensor could simply be loose, which could make it run cooler.

Careful tightening it as the plastic housings break from minimal torque.
