Ouiji Veck Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 After checking as many connections as I can stand I'm going to go ahead and try a new Vreg. to keep my headlight from self destructing. (why doesn't the fuse blow?) So my Q. is......Where's the best place to find the most compatible one at the best price? TIA

Ouiji Veck Posted June 10, 2008 Author Posted June 10, 2008 Ha! Thanks Tom.... You'd think I woulda picked up on that on MY OWN THREAD!!! Ha!! I love it...that's the one I want...same wires. I'm lame on the electric stuff. Just got my 20 foot new/used boat in the water after 3 weeks of fixin' it up..the Goose has been neglected...and my brain is pudding after farting around with the 115 HP 2 stroke motor. Those things are weird as hell...3 different timing adj. plus calibrating oil feeds. Get it wrong and "welcome to hell". Got it in the water in time for these 90+ temperature days though... yipeeeeeeeee...... Now onto the Goose..... Thanks again T.
OldButNotDead Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Reviving an old thread to thank people for their past input and add my for the Electrosport ESR510 voltage regulator. I've had flakey / variable voltage over the past year or so, and improved wiring, connectors, and fusing for the charging circuit-- as people have suggested. Finally had the generator light flicker on at idle after the last outing, and decided it might be time to install the spare regulator that's been waiting in the wings. It needed some finning removed to fit, but was otherwise a simple installation and...we've got ~12.6-14 V with the motor running. Nice. Looks like the original has a bit of a crack in the case:
